This teacher CAN'T teach. She is an ok artist. Means well but has trouble communicating. Very critical of work without offering positive feedback. Loves innate talent. Doesn't give credit for improvement by students who want to learn but do not have innate ability. Fails to comprehend that it is her responsibility to encourage and reward progress.

Ms. Dede is an artist not a good teacher. She tries but has difficulty expressing herself orally. If you seek to learn and do improve during the semester, your grade will NOT reflect it. She favors those who were artists BEFORE taking her. Overly critical without positive input to improve.

Given it's a drawing 101 class, but this teacher doesnt allow much for any creativity. i know one needs to learn the essentials, but it seemed to me if you presented an image that was anything less than an attempt at photo realism (no matter how good or bad), you were scolded. boring class too.

she's not a bad teacher, just she's hard. I took her never ever drawing before and i got a B in the class! It's just hard and she stays on top of you! i took the class for photography and struggled, while other kids seemed to say they're drawing class was so easy!
