Professor Cerar makes learning another language easy! He's so nice and funny. Barely gives us homework but still teaches a lot. He wants a lot of participation which isn't as bad as it sounds, he just wants you to improve your German. I would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to learn another language.

Chillest prof I've ever had. Definitely recommend him if German is your thang. Class is really easy but you learn a lot. Only language prof I've ever had who has made learning the language easy and enjoyable. Pretty easy and fair grader. Pay attention and you'll do fine. He really does make it easy. Take his class. You won't regret it.

He's a sweetheart! Very funny and laid back guy! Easy grader too. Sometimes it was hard for me to understand him when he would talk but overall he was great! It was the only class I actually enjoyed going to last semester! If you have to take a language class, def take this one! Oh and make sure to get the textbook because you use it in every class

I went into this without knowing any German before but it was an enjoyable class. The professor is a very chill guy. Never said anything about lateness. He hardly gave homework and when he did, sometimes he didn't even go over it. Tests here and there but they were ok if you studied. He's a funny guy. Got an A from him. Definitely recommend him.

Had him for German 2. Not as organized as German 1. You're expected to remember everything from the first semester, so make sure you review a little over the summer/winter breaks. Class overall was pretty disorganized. We were not doing well but he still would rush through difficult concepts. But makes sure everyone passes--super easy on grading.

Wonderful professor - makes learning the language completely not intimidating and a pleasant experience. If only he becomes a bit more strict and harsh sometimes, he'd be perfect (ie. it should NOT be ok that lazy students trip over easy pronunciation months into the semester)
