This is the second semester I have had Ali, and would not recommend her class to anyone. She is extremely unclear with her guidelines, and basically just expects students to read her mind. She also screamed at a student in class highly unprofessionally and then ordered him to leave. Do not take a class with her!

Ali was very inconsistent when it came to grading. Sometimes she was extremely critical of my writing; other times she found nothing to criticize. It seemed that the quality of my writing didn't matter as much as whether she agreed with the points I made.

Fun, crazy, woman and a good teacher. Although I'm no woman's studies major, I thought the class was great. MY biggest complaint is that the stories we went over weren't all good, and I felt that there wasn't enough discussion/review before tests. Still, I liked this class way more than I expected- the movie portions were stellar!!

gender in sy fy was the hardest class i have ever taken EXTREMELY boring and not interesting whatsoever. the material was WAY to hard for a 200 level class. i wouldn't recommend it at all. as for Ali she was AWESOME! nicest teacher so smart and helpful. i would definitely take another class from her

She thinks she is the most interesting woman alive, and tries to relate to all her students. The books you have to read are the most pointless words I've ever read, that she no doubt thinks is "creative liturature." She is very nice, and makes her self available to you for ANY help, but she and her class material are stupid and annoying.

Gender was truly eye opening and a class where I learned more than I wouldve imagined. We had amazing discussions and I loved having Ali as the teacher. I've taken all her classes and I wish she would create more so that I could learn from her again!

The Gender class is so interesting and eye opening. Its really given me a different perspective on the way I see gender. Ali is amazing, as always and she really gives us the opportunity for some great discussions. Highly recommend this class!!

Womens Writing. She is my favorite teacher at KSC. Ive taken every class she has taught. It was better than I expected. We did a service learning project talking with elderly women.
