Great at critiques. Ridiculously hard workload especially in early design classes. Amanda expects greatness in all her students and somewhat unrealistic in her expectations. AWESOME person to get to know outside the classroom. My advice is to be persistent in getting help. If you think your design needs more guidance go see her everyday with variation or bring all the variations to class. The more effort you show, the more she eases up and helps you out. Overall a teacher you MUST have before graduating!

One of the best teachers in the art department. Anyone that has a problem with her must not be serious about design...because if you are, you'll love her. Maybe those who don't like her should work a little harder in class next time.

One of the best professors I've ever had! She is very educated and experienced in her field, and very influential to those who take their college careers seriously. She is definitely someone I condsider a role model, and I would highly recommend her classes. Her classes do require a lot of work; however, you will learn a great deal. I owe a lot of my knowledge as a Graphic Designer to her, and I'm very fortunate to have had such a professor.

Wants everyone to be a computer wiz. God forbid I can't grasp how to use the Illustrator program. Everything thing has to be perfect to the T. On a good day she was great, but a on bad day, go home sick. Willing to help at times, but if you can't get it, then you are screwed.
