Agree with the majority of the comments already here. If you are on his good side (suck up to the point where he consumes you're life) you get an A no matter what. Get on his bad side: YOU WILL FAIL! Also, be careful - gets too friendly w/students!! =/ Enough said.

He definitely has his favorites. I was one when I first started, and suddenly became not one by junior year. I learned a little, but more on my own time. Don't get involved in a screaming match in class, it won't get you anywhere but down. Don't seek advice on careers or post graduate school, he pointed me in the wrong direction. Mulvihill is a great teacher. Class is always interesting and controversial. It's simple do your work, and you'll be fine. If you just sit there and **** of course the guy's not going to like you. ANyway the class is awesome!!
