Kevin was such an amazing Professor and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to study under him. He pushes you, but only because he cares and wants you to succeed. If you put in the work and go above his minimum guidelines you will do great in his courses. He makes learning/working effortless because he makes you want to do it. :)

Comment:

Tests are really hard, but there are many ways to get your credit. I rarely pass one of his tests but I do really well on all other assignments, papers, and presentations. He is very interesting and passionate. Great guy.

Professor Berner is a wonderful & helpful professor. He is a tough grader, his classes are challenging, & he expects a lot from his students. But he will help you if you go to him, show him you really care about his classes, & that you would like his help. He is one of the most respected professors in the department. Just don't piss him off.

Kevin is awesome. He teaches classes that can be difficult. The key to passing his classes is two fold. First, his tests can be hard because he doesn't ask for the meaning of a word, he asks for the word that goes with the meaning - like Jeopardy. Second, his tests aren't weighted as much as his assignments, if you do really well on the assignments you can survive flopping on the tests. Doing well on the assignments requires making sure you have followed his instructions/directions to the letter

Comment:

Berner teaches with roughly the same guidelines for each of his classes. He is passionate and usually pretty interesting. If you want to do well in his classes, READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS! He hands out detailed course guides, as well as CD-ROM's with all course powerpoints at the start of each semester. Your failure is your own problem.

Teaches wildlife techniques, wildlife management, Terrestrial ecology and Natural History of the Vertebrates. He's an amazing teacher, animated, thoughtful and helpful. You will get out of the class exactly what you put into it. attend class and ask for help and you will pass, skip class and studying and you will fail miserably

Kevin is very informative and enthusiastic when it comes to teaching (especially bluebirds) His tests are hard, but he makes u learn and I have a lot of respect for him and his accomplishments. His labs r challenging most of the time and he gives u very useful tools to use...it's up to u to use them. Way to go Kevin...cant wait to have u next year!
