My advice to those who are planning on taking cell is that Carol Harding is a tough lab instructor but for the right reasons. She is intimidating and the lab work is enormous. Show that you want to do well and that the effort is there and you will succeed. You must work very, very hard. A high B was a huge accomplishment for me in the lab section.

Carol made you work your butt off for the labs and there is no way you will ever get an A in the labs regardless of the effort you put in. She really does not have a marking scheme and seems to put in extra things off the top of her head.I hated the labs and barely passed the lab section. When you went to see her for help she wasn't as helpful.

She was no help at all. I failed the labs section because of her.She didn't care how much effort you put in and had no marking scheme just marks based on what ever pops in her head.

She was my lab instructor for biology 2060 and she wasn't that helpful at all. She made you work your butt off for the labs and was an extremely criticising marker. She didn't help you improve your mark just made it worse.

Carol is a pretty good woman. She has absolutely no problem with failing people if they make no effort to improve themselves or work hard in her labs, but if you put the work in and go see her for help, she'll gladly give you good marks. She's also pretty funny and entertaining.

Carol was.... a special lab instructor. She worked my butt off, tortured me with my grades to the point of crying, and generally drove me crazy. On the other hand, when I went to see her, she was very kind, and understanding, and she does care about you if you go see her. Not for the slack or faint of heart

Had Carol for 2060 and 3401. Great instructor with no patience for immaturity or people who don't listen. Great sense of humour if you understand her, and extremely helpful to those willing to learn. Don't be afraid to ask questions! you'll get very detailed answers and she'll make sure you understand.

My first course with Carol was quite hard, my second lab course with her went much better. The second time around I went to her office, or emailed her with any questions, and recieved very imdepth responses. I actually did A LOT better. To the person who thinks that you can float through MUN, avoid her, but to those who want to learn,take her labs.

Loves to torture students with impossible demands, sarcastic remarks and poor grades regardless of effort level. She's obviously a VERY angry woman and takes out her hatred of the world on defenseless students. Carol Harding has singlehandedly destroyed my motivation to study biology. Thanks to her I plan to change my major and never look back.

I have a HIGH GPA, and the only course that dragged it down last semester was Carol. Look at the overall rating: BAD! This woman told you critical things you needed to know for writing the pre-lab AFTER it was already written up and too late to change anything - seriously affecting your mark. We sent a petition around to remove her it got so bad.

If you're shooting for high grades, you'll be discouraged, but if you actually want to learn biology, you will. Be prepared to put lots of work in! A bit intimidating at first and has very high expectations, but very helpful if you go see her in her office!! (go see her before passing in a lab)
