Comment:
Murdock wrote the Illinois Business Act, and (if you believe the late Lin Hanson) "messed with" the Illinois LLC Act. But Lin (and a lot of other lawyers ) respected the hell out of Bud because he's smart, engaging and knows his stuff. He cares about students, and will make himself available for questions. And yes, he was the model for Mr. Burns.

While this class was not easy by any stretch of the imagination, Murdock is a great professor and an easy grader. He's a bit hard to follow at times but he will make himself available for questions from students. Bonus: Rumor has it he is the visual basis for Mr. Burns (Simpsons)

Professor Murdock is very polite and knowledgeable. He is very concerned with corporate ethics, thus a conscientious guy and great molder of students. The one drawback is that at times he can be too casual with his explanations. I think this is inevitable when you teach the same class dozens of times. The class is challenging. Lots of material

One of my favorite profs. at Loyola. Liberal, funny, the subject matter is his world. Be prepared for class (be able to explain the background of a case CONCISELY in plain English), he cold calls at least half a dozen students per class. Exam is very fair, no surprises for a beastly subject. Prof. Murdock is accessible, engage him. Take him.

It took me until the last couple weeks of class to make this class come together for me. There was a ton of material to read and it was very difficult.I think Prof. Murdock really knows that his students are the future and does tend to teach more of what should be instead of what is. But overall he was fair and a solid teacher.

Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject. There is a lot of reading for his class. Final tests broad concepts and the curve is slightly easier. If you want to learn IL business, take Murdock.

Worst professor I have ever had! He teaches nothing but the word of "Bud". He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter, but will only tolerate the illinois business code, which he wrote. he constantly contradicts Delaware code, which is the majority. If you plan to take an out of state bar/practice outside of Illinois avoid Murdock!
