hes an ok professor nice but old school. his tests are fairly difficult and dont go along with the homework he assigns...open book open notes but you really need to know your stuff otherwise the notes dont really help

The teacher is nice, I'll give him that, but he sure knows how to put people to sleep. Sit close to the front so you can hear him talk. I found this class highly difficult, and needed friend to help me through the course. But he is the only CS 170 and 270 teacher right now at ODU. If you have trouble, ASK QUESTIONS!!!

Professor Grosch is the kindest man. He is so old and still teaching. He reminds me of a sweet old grandfather..lol His teaching is great. He is a brilliant man who was the right man to teach CS-170 and 270. Outstanding Performer!!

Grosh is an excellent professor. He is truly the right person to be teaching computer architecture. The only thing that pissed me off was that he could have passed me, but instead gave me a D. When I passed all of his damn test. But just screwed up on 2 homework assignments. That doesn't make since to me.

Professor Grosch is hands down one of the greatest teachers I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. He has been more than a teacher. He has been a role model for myself. He is very helpful and will spend as much time as it takes to help anyone.

Mr Groshe is the coolest teacher. Ive had him for CS170 and 270 and I'd like to have him for another semester. Hes a real nice guy and always makes his tests and homeworks fair. He is great at simplifying really complicated material. go Groshe!

Great Teacher, takes about a semester or warm up too but funny, and very inciteful, you can use notes and handouts on all tests and exams, easy grading style. VERY GOOD TEACHER

The class is pretty hard if you did'nt have a good 170 prof. The book is very hard to understand. He compensates somewhat for what the book lacks in clarity.
