I loved this class! He is SO funny & relates Econ to personal stories, making the information easy to remember. You must subscribe to WSJ & do 4 one-page summaries of articles you choose. Tests: only a midterm & final (10ish questions & all handwritten). Do the study guides since if it's not on there, it won't be on the test. Amazing professor!

Only a midterm, final, and 3 quizzes that make up your grade. He makes his lectures entertaining, so you won't be snoozing. The two tests are taken from the study guide and he reviews any questions you have during the class period. If you show up this class is very straight forward

He is one of my best teachers and I have actually learned a lot from his class. He only has two tests and a couple quizzes, and no homework. If you do the study guide and ask him questions, you will do really well in his class. I would show up to class though.

He is one of the best teachers that I have had at UCCS. There is no homework (unless you want the extra credit). He really knows how to capture the students attention and inspire them. There are only 2 tests (midterm and the final) and about 3 quizzes. If you pay attention and do your reading this class will be a piece of cake

Very helpful professor. He is very involved in online discussions and I learned alot. His teachings correlate to today's world and his assignments are real-time, not pulled from years prior. I highly recommend him.

I will be taking as many of Deboers classes as possible. He knows the material extremely well. In a class of 250 students he's entertaining and keeps everyones attention. He also can handle 250 students questions about the economy and doesn't take sides. Has very logical explanations. Go to class and you'll get a good grade.

I didn't start out being terribly interested in economics, but all things considered, this class was fun and informative. Prof. Deboer was good with answering questions and facilitating the online discussions. I learned a lot about economics and applied it to real world concepts. I would recommend this class.

Excellent teacher! Knows the material backwards, with plenty of current and historical data and anecdotes to back it up. Firm grader, but fair; make sure you study. My only gripe is that no matter when I get to class, he started it five minutes ago--but then, nobody else seems to have this problem. Five stars.

Best economics teacher. Lessons are well planned, he thoroughly explains, he is funny and entertaining, and he gives you a sheet of what will be on the test so you know exactly what to study!! I highly recommend him!

The entire econ dept. at UCCS is great but Dr. Deboer stands out as an exceptional professor. Lectures are clear and well planned. He knows exactly when students are confused and will cover topics again. Be prepared to take a LOT of notes though.
