This is the worst class I have ever taken. The guy doesn't even practice what he preaches about new methods of interactive instruction. He's a terrible teacher who doesn't even seem interested in his subject. Good luck learning anything. The guest lecturers are more exciting than him. Make friends with your TA. They're the only decent help.

This class was pretty easy. I hear it became much easier since they switched to a class for secondary and elementary ed. I got an A on all the projects and did most the night before. The only thing to worry about are the test because they could hurt your grade a lot. They are not overly difficult though.

Save everything in 20 different places, develop an unconditional love for your t.a., don't buy the November text, don't rush the reflections, put effort into the reflections, always attend lecture, plan on doing poorly on the exams, and stock up on energy drinks and plenty of migraine medication.

He teaches the lecture part of the course using PowerPoints, which gets kind of boring by the end. Go to lecture for the feedback points, though. A nice guy in person, but unfortunately, he doesn't grade the assignments. Get friendly with your TA quick.

Like someone already said, it definitely depends on the TA you get for determining your grade. Some really suck, so be prepared. Neiderhauser really doesn't have much to do with this class besides sometimes explaining assignments. GO to lecture, though. You need the points.

I think this class is incredibly helpful. If you really want to be a teacher there should be nothing to **** about. This class is very time consuming but the knowledge you gain is worth the worry. Tests are a piece of cake as long as you go to lecture and pay attention, I have yet to open my book.

I wish he would grade our assignments, because there is a lot of discrepancy between the TAs grading. Some TAs are really hard and some are actually reasonable--just depends on who you get. Class is A LOT of work, no matter what TA you get. WARNING: Our DPI (multimedia assignment) for this class was due the same day as we took our exam. Not cool.

Lectures and PPs were boring. Prof. is nice he just needs to update his teaching skills, treated us like children sometimes. The LAB is what matters. Hope you get a nice TA coz if you get a bad one it can be hard. Definetly keep up w/lab assignments. Keep up w/readings so multiple choice tests can make sense, he tries to make them tricky.

this class was so much work. and the prof didn't have any effect on our grade. the tas were the ones who gave you your grade so if you had a hard ta like i did, you were screwed no matter how hard you worked. class is very time consuming because of the projects and the prof has no part in grades

This teacher really has nothing to do with your grade. It does help to go to lectures because you do get points on random days for being there. THIS CLASS MAY BE EASY, however, it depends on which TA you get. I had a very hard one while others had easy ones. It all depends! GOOD LUCK!

He's not a bad professor, but lectures can be very boring. You have to turn something in almost everyday though and they are the most pointless things cause he goes over it...basically you write stuff he says down and get credit for being there.
