Instead of lecturing, Dwork tells stories that help students see history so much clearer. She's interested in her students' opinion, but there is quite a bit of reading. Great course, though! I'm so glad I took it!

Do not be fooled. A 175 level for Dwork means 299 for the rest of Clark. She is one of the brightest professors around. She demands a lot of her students and of herself. She is always willing to help and listen. A true educator in every sense of the word.

Dwork is a world-class scholar and it shows. She is solely focused on students understanding the material. She is not easy, but no one dies in the class. Showing up to class is vital, as are the the TA sessions. She is warm and inviting.

She's a really nice professor, she's very helpful and understanding, and really wants her students to do well in the class. She lectures a lot, but she gives very fair tests and the reading is manageable. Overall a good experience.

Professor Dwork is a golden prize at Clark. Students cleared space in their schedules just to get into her classes every semester. She is brilliant and dedicated to both her subject and her students. My favorite professor ever!

She is an amazing amazing prof-- the work load is not light; a book and a paper each week, but there are no final papers or exams, so this way the work is spread out even throughout the sem. She ABSOLUTELY knows her stuff, is extremely helpful and understanding, but has high standards. TAKE HER!!!!!

Prof Dwork is a lot of fun to have class with. While she makes you work, she is very helpful and very constructive in her criticism. Very professional, put-together, yet can be very funny at times!!!
