Comment:

She's very passionate about the subject which makes the lectures way more interesting. As long as you go to every class and pay attention you should pass without even the slightest problem. 3 essays (not even real essays), 1 easy powerpoint project with pictures, tests are pretty much exactly what she says in the lectures. Dont get the textbook.

I went to every class and wrote all the notes I could HEAR. Unfortunately her lectures are mostly her talking, she talks fast in her lectures and doesn't write down key points that are hard to spell or remember, so having hearing problems is not ok. Felt confident in tests but got low scores. She's a fun professor but gets off topic easily.

Loved her. So goofy but gets kind of distracted. DO NOT BUY THE BOOKS. She makes the class more like art history. Very lecture heavy. Go to class and write down everything. The tests are simple but you really need to study for them. Great class and very enjoyable to attend!

Take her!!! She is so awesome and inspirational. I love her personality and she makes the class so much fun and interesting. Such an easy class if you go and take good notes of everything she says because that's the majority of what's on the tests! The final is a simple ID test where she posts pictures and you identify each picture.

LOVE the subject & the professor. She is passionate about the course and it totally shows. I took Hum 1&2 and AP Art History in high school so I may be slightly biased but her class was super interesting. I didn't buy the textbook. Attendance wasn't mandatory but the class was lecture heavy. Aced almost every exam, 5 including the final! :)

She was the one of the best professors that I have ever had at UCF and I would highly recommend taking her class! She is such a sweet person and has so much passion for the subject. She looks and acts just like Susan Delfino from Desperate Housewives but less ditzy

TAKE HER!! She is an absolutely wonderful teacher who was made to teach this class. Don't buy the book her tests are based on her powerpoints and lectures. Attendance is mandatory but it's worth it. She will make you fall in love with art she teaches with so much enthusiasm towards the subject. You will be so happy that you took her for this course

Gibbs is a great professor! I took her hum 1 class and loved it and decided to take hum 2 with her as well. She is so passionate about art which makes me as a student more interested in the subject than I already am. Gibbs is fun, quirky, and makes miss taking art classes.

I had zero interest in art before taking this class and she made the material fun and interesting and I actually enjoyed studying art! She is a fantastic person and kept the class fun and easy. Loved her.

I thought she was awesome. 4 exams and one paper, not really much writing for a Gordon Rule class. She is scatterbrained, but it's funny. She's incredibly nice and really made me love art. Go to class and take good notes because that's where the tests come from. You don't need the book. She's really great, if you're on the edge, TAKE HER!

Gibbs is a fantastic professor! She makes me miss art class. We don't really use the book at all but it's a good reinforcer. The tests are pretty much based on her lecture and powerpoints so as long as you go to class and take good notes, you'll have no problem in the class!

Read her powerpoints, take notes, and pay attention in class and you have it in the bag. When I took this class she had two papers that weren't really hard as long as you paid attention and a final project that is basically give to you. She is a very nice and interesting teacher with a lot of creativity. I very much enjoyed her class.

Okay honestly, I took this professor because of her amazing ratings on this website and I disagree with them completely. I'm a 3.5 GPA student, but I had to work my butt off to get a B in this class, which was supposed to be an easy A. I went to every class, took notes, and still couldn't get near an A. She's also a complete psycho! So weird.

Fantastic professor, gives you all the tools you need to succeed. Has a tendency to digress a little bit, but overall is superb at what she does. Her tests are a little bit challenging but she goes over everything on the tests in the power points. Super nice and cares about your grades. No reason for anyone not to get an A!

Take this class if you want to learn. Best teacher in the world. I took her AP class in high school and did not open that book ONCE and I ended up with a B, just because of her lectures. Her tests were very hard, but she is SUCH a good teacher. Not easy, but you will learn a ton and fall in love with art.
