Dr. Mosteig is a good math professor. While there can be a lot of homework, he is always available for office hours. Sometimes, his reliance on online programs, like wolframalpha, for problems can be slightly confusing, since many of the programs often forgo showing steps unless you pay. But I would highly recommend him for math.

Dr. Mosteig is an awesome math teacher. He is very clear with his lectures and gives plenty of examples. Super approachable if you have any problems or questions and his office hours are a godsend when something doesn't quite click. The class is still a lot of work; it is a math class. Yet, I feel like his teaching style made the material easier.

Overall, he is a very good teacher. You need to utilize office hours. He is very nice. Everything that is good about him is true...Unfortunately I bombed on the final due to migraine so I will be taking him again...that says a lot about him...he is a great teacher.

BEST MATH TEACHER! He allows cheat sheets during every exam. He doesn't believe in memorizing formulas instead he's rather you understand how to use them. HW is very reasonable and is given once every week or 2 weeks. Very approachable too.

Dr. Mosteig is a great teacher. He really cares about his students' learning, is very helpful, and is very clear. Discrete methods is probably my favorite math class to date. He made it really enjoyable. His tests aren't that hard - as long as you know the main concepts, you'll be fine. He also gives a very reasonable amount of homework.

While he is nice and does look good in those tight jeans, I got the impression that he sometimes got frustrated or impatient with the non-engineers in the class who didn't understand concepts so readily. His tests are very (extremely) difficult. Cheat sheets are a lifesaver.

He's a great teacher that really cares about all the students and really encourages office hours. The nicest thing was he lets you have a cheat sheet for your tests. He goes through the material real slow which is helpful because the material can get confusing. I recommend him.

He is an awesome teacher who reviews material thoroughly. He also does tons of examples that aren't from the book so you aren't stuck on your homework. HW is due once a week and tests are over each chapter. 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper for each test allowed as a cheat sheet! so nice!

He is a REALLY great teacher! He knows the math and is very thorough and complete with the information. You only need the book to do homework, he goes over everything in class. The tests are basically homework problems. Just do your work well and you will get a good grade! Best math teacher i have had!
