Rescher is a great teacher, but her class is HARD unless you generally like english classes. She lectures the entire class, and while she does know her stuff, it can be hard to pay attention if it's not something you're interested in. Read the material she assigns and you'll be fine on tests and quizzes. Tough grader on essays but easier on papers

Definitely not the easiest English class I have taken, but it was well worth it in the end. It is A TON of writing; every class we had different essays/papers due, but they were not always long or hard. She is very smart, kind, and respectful, as well as helping and understanding. I would recommend taking her for ENG101, if you are willing to work.

Professor Rescher is an amazing person and teacher. After having her for 102 I took 204 without even needing it for my major. She gives great life advice and will help you outside of the class as much as possible with the literature. Also gives great 4-year recommendation. I cannot write enough praise for this gem.

ms. rescher is extremely nice and adorable haha. she always helps as much as she can but she doesnt baby you. she grades pretty tough. but you cant just show up to class and expect to pass. you actually have to put in effort to pass. she is hard on you but thats only to prepare you for a 4 year college, and she wants you to actually learn.

Had her for 101, and I will also have her for 102. She is by far one of my favorite teachers at Richard Bland. She is so energetic and she is also funny. She loves her students and you can ask her anything she will help you! Its best to pay attention when she writes on the board. Never knew how to write a research paper prior to her, she is great!

AMAZING. I had her for 101 and 102 and got A's in each. Do the readings and go to class because she'll discuss everything. She doesn't write many notes on the board or do powerpoints, so you'll want to write some stuff on your own. Her papers are detailed and proper, but in 101 she teaches you STEP BY STEP how to write a paper correctly.

One of the best lecturers i have ever had. Fantastic professor always willing to help and give aid to those who require it. Flexible, accomplished, knowledgeable, and a true humanitarian, she is RBC's biggest and finest gem.

Took ENGL 102 and 204. Don't get behind in the reading or it can be a bit overwhelming. Very helpful professor, truly wants to see you succeed. Preparing you for true university work. Likes to see independent thinking. Relatively easy tests and quizzes(sometimes pop!) if you keep up with the reading and attend class regularly.

Dr. Rescher is, without a doubt, one of the best at Bland. She is difficult, but she is one of the few at this school adequately preparing you for real university work. She will not coddle you AFTER the due date, but up until that point she does anything she can to help. Her tests are tough. Do the reading. And don't procrastinate on your research.
