Dr. Getz is one of the nicest, most helpful instructors I've ever had in my life! I was returning to school after several years' absence and she walked me through the whole process with all the encouragement I could ever have wanted. I found her class challenging, stimulating and remarkable for the wide variety of assignments.

Wait, Getz only teaches electives! If you struggle in Grad School, it's not her fault. Look to your work in statistics and experimental psychology. She asked us to think about research not do our own health assessments. It was a lot of work and interesting.

Actually, she was good prep for grad school. I write better now. She is the only professor who had you apply stuff from stats and research in her classes. We got to present our projects at Expo. She wrote letters of recommendation for me and I am in a real graduate program not Counseling or PsyD. You get out what you put into her classes.

I guess the cheese stands alone here, while she is a nice lady her class is too easy. If you are looking for an easy A, by all means take her courses. I did not learn anything in her courses and now being in grad school I can say I wish she was a little more academic and less like a preschool teacher.

she is such a sweet lady and she's so willing to help out! during quizzes if you get stuck and she can tell you know what's going on, she'll give you clues to what the right answers are! she also doesn't believe in tests, so all you have for grades are quizzes!

Dr. Getz is awesome. She really works with you. She is great at breaking down complex ideas and concepts. Her review sessions are extremely helpful. She posts her powerpoints on blackboard and if you just use her powerpoints and go to the thurs review sessions, you will do well.

Probably my favorite psychology professor. I've had her for 410,314 and 481 and she is very helpful, and does want all of her students to do well. She's really into the subjects of all the courses she teaches. Her independent studies are very interesting and detailed. Do the work and take good notes in class you will do well even without the text!

BEST TEACHER! She is sooo helpful and wants everyone to get an A on the tests and quizzes. Right before the quizzes she goes over whats going to be on it and often the night before tests she has a study session! The sweetest, more helpful teacher!!

She is one of the most helpufl professors I know. She wants everyone to do well in the class and will even meet you late at night for help with whatever. She is such an enjoyable teacher to have that I took two more of her classes. She is such a nice person!! TAKE HER!!!

Getz is a good teacher. She genuinely wants you to succeed in her class and is always helpful. The research you do in her class is actually interesting, although you will have to spend some time doing it. She gives quiz's every week to two weeks that are challenging (just because you have to memorize a lot)but are totally based off of the notes. S

Now, there's an interesting comment! AD&D is what you put into it! Textbook was good and a good resource. Integration with older adults was a good experience. Opportunity to do own research on topic of your choice was very helpful. Quizzes challenged you (despite our genius's comments below). Best of the best!

Psych 314 had no challenge factor and proved to be very boring most of the time. She puts the book in the library, so you don't have to buy it. I think she tries to provide a valuable learning experience with low committment, but the class is too laid back that you're not motivated to learn anything. Easy A, but somewhat a waste of time.

AMAZING! One of the most helpful professors at Bradley and strives to help students actually learn. Her lectures are a little boring, but she really wants you to learn all you can and will explain concepts as many times as needed in order to accomplish that.

Her lecture voice was not the greatest but she was entertaining. Very nice and knew a lot about psychology. In the lecture hall, she NEVER used the microphone so make sure you are very attentive. She walks around and really tries to get the students to understand what is going on. Quizzes and tests were easy, just make sure you study.

Comment:

Dr. Getz is a wonderful teacher. She works extremely hard to help her students, and is always willing to put in the extra effort. It is rare to find a teacher who cares so much about their student's success. I would recommend her to everyone.
