if you want to have a teacher that makes you look like a complete idiot in class then take him. i hated the way he taught and wasnt clear enough for students that werent already familiar with accounting.i do not like him and i would not recommend him.

I hear he is leaving JSU at the end of this semester. Makes it too hard to ask questions in class or out of class. Cannot seen to relate to average business (not accounting) student.

This board was misleading. I was scared when I first signed up for him, but now I'm glad I took him. He's funny, helpful and a MUCH better teacher than Sandberg. I struggled through her 200 class but got an A in this class.

I had to retake this class after Sandberg flunked an entire section. She is a kook. Mr. Kirby knows how to teach. Three test. All from assigned problems and in class examples. I made an A.

Yes, he is deaf in one ear. Very nice man. I took Sandberg and had to drop that Kook. Mr. Kirby is very clear, thorough, and straightforward. Assigned problems, and in-class examples are what is on the test. Accounting is a hard subject. This is a good teacher.

Okay, first of all, he is deaf in one ear, so if he has trouble hearing you the first time, dont make fun of him. He is a nice guy, but is definitely the hardest acc teacher at jsu... make sure that you study a lot and know how to do the problems.. most of the problems on the test are just like the ones that you do in class.. good luck!

Be ready to study. He gives examples that a lot like the ones on the test. The day before the test he suggested problems to work. If you can work those problems you will be ok.

You need to read the chapter before you go to class. His test are not that difficult. He does not do a very good job of explaining the material.I felt lost in class, would have to come home and study hard to figure out what he was talking about...better than Sandberg though
