I also had Professor Liska for GOV230 and GOV430. She was a great teacher, emphasizing teacher. She works you hard, but hard for John Jay means average for most other schools. Her class more than any prepared me for Graduate School (she also wrote me a recommendation for my grad app). She prepares you for grad/law school!! Pay attention!

Incredibly informative professor. I got a C+, but that's because I earned a C+. I did my first few briefs half-assedly, and it showed. I do NOT like the point system, which she uses, but I believe she REALLY grades democratically and she REALLY prepares us for the worst; EXCELLENT preparation for law school. She's fantastic.

she is the worst prof. at john jay. Avoid her!!! she speaks too fast, even if she writes in the board, her handwriting is awful, never repeats what she had just say. Her quizes, midterm and final are very hard!!!! Too much information. She is like a robot! Dont take her, ever!!

She is a great Prof. She is fast and all, but I think she makes a lot of sense. You need to pay attention and all it takes is a bit of effort. As far as I can tell, I didnt know about all of the cases and terms when I first got to her class, but I got all the basics down now, and I never did a breif. Now I know it all.. she's fine!!

i dont think she was as horrible as every one makes her seem. She knows what she is talking about all you have to do is pay attention and take notes. She does talk fast but thats only because she is trying to cover everything so when you get into other classes your not lost and have no clue.

she is nice and accepts late papers, but not the briefs. there's a brief due every week and too much readings to cover in one night. her exams are pretty tough and she grades strictly on papers. she talks way too fast. there's a midterm, 10 briefs, 4 papers and final. attendance is required. it's not easy to get A in her class..overall, she's ok.

she makes u read about 50 pages a night and wants u 2 know everything before she teaches it to u. Tests, final and midterm were very hard. she used a point system of 105 points to grade and did not curve the score. Each test is 5 points and the majority of the class got 2. she went over the material 2 quick so u had 2 do a lot of research on ur own

She is a Class A teacher. A lot of work and a lot of material. Mid term and final and a bunch of briefs. If you are a lazy person and dont like to work for your grade dont take her. She is really helpful and by far the most fastes talker in the world!!!! Class is great you have to take good notes in order to do well. Excellent teacher.

In Liska's class you have to work for your grade.... the briefs and papers help you understand the material, which is then on the exams.. If you dont understand something read it over.. Prof. Liska is extremely helpful and will explain things that u dont understand..

An excellent professor, she’s very clear, uses the Socratic method, tests are not that easy but very fair. She’s not for people who are lazy, she gives a fair amount of work. She doesn’t like to downgrade so she will try to give you points if you do try to understand the material
