Comment:

Class is abstract and sometimes difficult to understand. But Weaver spends more time where more time is needed. He explains things really well, which usually makes up for his powerpoint notes which are sometimes very hard to follow. He constantly reminds the class that he is always available for questions. Overall, great prof.

Comment:

Weaver is such a nice person, but he is very abstract and difficult to follow in lectures. It is sometimes difficult to read his hand writing and understanding how he puts the lectures together to make sense. He is extremely intelligent but I find it very challenging to understand him. He is very willing to help outside of class. Just e-mail him.

I LOVED this class- Weaver is so intelligent and is eager to help people outside of class. He has review sessions and study sheets that pretty much lay out exactly what will be on the tests. Amazing prof, amazing class!!

He's a little boring, you do the same thing every day. Sometimes it's hard to understand him; he trails off on every sentence. But the class is interesting and he knows his stuff. He's an easy grader and approachable.

To me the material in this class is irrelevant and extremely boring; you can't blame him for the class being boring if the material is boring. It's difficult to know what he expects on papers and essay tests. You study as hard as possible, you get your test back and he minuses points without an explanation sometimes. Probably the worst psych class.

I took Dr. Weaver for several courses (graduated 2000). In both jobs and now at law school, I am amazed at how often I use the lessons used in his class, and just watching the man live his life. If at Calvin, know him, love him, our Dream Weaver.

Hasn't figured out that powerpoint exists and continues to use old-school overhead projector notes. Unfortunately, he got stuck teaching the most boring class imaginable with a boring topic. REALLY nice guy though.
