I really appreciated that the homework load was minimal. There are only 3 papers and then a simple final. He offers extra credit in the form of a powerpoint. As long as you read all the material, you will do great : )

Dr. Perez is a sweet, caring professor. He honestly wants the very best for each and every student. I went to his office hours quite often. He encourages students to visit him in office hours, which is awesome! Not the most fun class I've ever been in, but he is very smart and tries to make the class fun. Very patient, helpful, and sweet professor.

Dr. Perez is fantastic if you aren't afraid to speak up when you don't understand something. He does assume that you know a lot of things about the subject prior to teaching it, but if you speak up and say you don't he will explain. Take advantage of his office hours, because they are a great way to make something clear. He's a fair grader.

he was a very boring professor and was no help at all. his assignments were very unclear and he tried to teach at an extremely fast pace. DO NOT GET THIS TEACHER!!!!!!!

Extremely nice professor. His class is SUPER boring though! All you do in his class is talk about what essay you're going to do next. He is open to your ideas and comments. He let's you go early if he doesn't have anything to talk about anymore. If you're not a good writer whatsoever, take this course now! He is a fair grader.

Really didn't like him at all, he could be VERY BORING! The kind that laughs at his own jokes... Too bad this class is a requirement, it does not even cover the entire world! Read and turn in assignments on time, and don't forget to take a pillow...

Nice guy and very fair but difficult to understand at times because he names drops about theory and authors--which was frustrating because he would never explain who or what he was talking about when he would reference some obsure book or author from the 60s or something. Boring sometimes too.

Overall, Dr. Hector Perez is a great instructor. He forgets though, that Comp I is a beginner's course; and treat it like an upper-level divions course. YOU NEED TO TEACH US TO WRITE! PUNCTUATION, GRAMMAR, WRITING STYLE. Don't treat us like upper-levels!!
