She was fantastic. Hard - yes, but so worth it. I learned so much about what's going on in the world and how that should impact my faith. Some say she's vague but that's only because she doesn't give the answers. She says that things are complicated. And she's right. Take her.

Wow. This class was so vague. She expects so much from your writings yet gives you no clear instruction on what that is. Combined with the amount of work was ridiculous for a GE. When she asks for your opinion or beliefs she doesn't really care. She only wants you to feed her her own opinions and beliefs. JUST SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR GPA.

Okay, here's the thing, Professor Robins is the sweetest lady ever. She cares about students and their work, pushes you to do better, and the key to her class is to go to office hours and ask her about your work before you turn it in. That being said, the class is REALLY hard for a GE. You can't just slide by. Don't take it as a freshman.

I love Professor Robins. The class was hard and I struggled but she really helped me during office hours. She made me think about faith in new ways. She's no easy A, but she is a fantastic dresser. You should take her. I recommend her to everyone.

What could I possibly say to encompass the gratitude I feel for the things Professor Robins has taught me? She made me love history because of her fierce passion for justice and making sure her students have the tools to make such distinctions themselves, even after the class ends. It's hard, but it's worth the work. I'm definitely taking Med Med!!

Dr. Robins is fantastic. Make no mistake - you will work hard - but you will also learn a lot. I really appreciated how the subject of history connected to current issues as well as my own personal identity. She has made me love history. Despite what others have said, assignments are all noted on the syllabus and she offers helpful feedback.

For a general history course this class turned out to be a disaster in my opinion. I would avoid this professor if your concerned about your grade, amazing how disorganized class felt, i hate to say..

Kind of intresting material I guess but it's so random I felt like I was taking a French history class and tests have nothing to do with lecture. It amazes me how inconsistent the course was.

Felt caught up and fine from lectures extremely basic material than random due dates and insanely tough grading-By far the most unclear course as far as what is expected, that was a nightmare second half of semester after feeling really good about my "grade" which I assumed was good...I wish I would have known how unclear what's expected of you

This is the only college professor I've ever had any frustration with, constantly things just pop up as due. I can't believe that was a general history course. I have never seen a less organized course as far as what's expected. Her lectures are really simplistic so you will feel on top of the class than BAM tests tough and extremely tough grader.

Professor Robins is a wonderful lady, willing to help you if you are confused, very sweet, cares about students, and has an amazing understanding of the subject. This class is hard, and if you don't apply yourself, you will not do well. You have to be on top of your stuff or else it's going to not end well for you.

the professor told the whole class not to worry about our grades, that she curves everything and we would all be fine. I just got my grade back and it was a D+. I worked extremely hard in this class and should not have gotten a D. She is very confusing and vague with her instructions, but expects students to give her complicated answers.

This class is hard, and you'll have to work for a good grade. She gives tests on every chapter, essentially handing you a blank outline of the chapter and asking you to fill it out, along with a map. There are also a number of "journals" and group projects unrelated to history. The class is okay, but I would take it with someone else if you can.

I'll be honest I didn't like her the slightest bit as a teacher. Her interest and knowledge in the subject is apparent but she is extremely vague with her assignments. She doesn't tell you when you have tests. I was didn't like her attitude towards those with different beliefs. If you want a good grade you better be willing to tickle her ear.

This prof. taught me to love history, to recognize complexity, and to engage my faith and studies in surprising ways. Her perspective as a French national is cool and I left this class with a better understanding of the past and its shaping of my present. Take this class!

Dr. Robins is a very sweet woman who truly cares about her students. She wants to learn about her students' backgrounds and makes them reflect on themselves. She gives an interesting perspective on how humans that are so different can relate to each other. Doesn't announce tests and grading is weighted weirdly, but she's easy enough if you open up.

This professor is incredibly insightful. Even though most students didn't agree with her politically, she was very open to hearing their opinions and encouraged students to look at all sides of a story. Most writing was informal but encouraged thought and empowered students to challenge themselves.
