Wow! I cannot believe how horrible this professor is! I am not in one bit interested in the material and he made it so hard to keep attending classes. I had to drop because I didn't want my gpa to suffer. He is totally off topic ALL the time! I had 4 hour classes 2x a week and it was horrible! The entire time in class he spoke about current events.

Professor Roe is awesome! He LOVES to talk about his experiences and knows everything about POLS. You need your book and you need to study hard but he tells you everything that is going to be on the test in lecture and gives out extra credit regularly. I just brought blank note cards to class and made flash cards during his lectures. Got an A+ :)

I don't know what the other comments (the negative ones) are for, but this is a great class. Granted, it's hard, but what the hell is college for? If you're looking for something easy, resign yourself to a career at the local car wash.

He is a charming and friendly person but he does not do a good job teaching the subject. His lectures are stories from his political career and a few vocab words thrown in sporadically. The tests are on the book...they are extremely difficult. I would suggest taking this class with a different Prof. or online.

He is a really interesting guy. His tests are incredibly hard and could possible make you fail the class. He gives out tons of extra credit though. If you can memorize stuff really fast then this is a good class to take otherwise you may struggle, just do all the extra credit and you'll be fine

Great teacher. Yeah, the tests were crazy but he will review if you ask him whats on the test. I got 4.0 in an 8 week session. If you can memorize..you can ace this class. Jerry is very funny. Grat stories!!

Jerry is a great teacher with a lot of personal experiences and friends he can invite to speak. His tests are the hardest I've ever taken too but I managed to get a 3.5 in his 8 week class. Lots of hard work but he makes class fun, and interesting. He was by far the best political science teacher I've ever had!!!

Jerry's a great guy & teacher. Very fun, lots of interesting opportunities presented in the world of politics to his class. He gets a little off topic but if you pay attention, read the bold stuff in the chapters, you'll do great. I 4.0'ed this one.

Jerry's a really interesting guy, and some of the stories he tells are really informative AND entertaining, but be warned: it's hard to know which things to keep track of and which not to, and the tests are HARD. Possibly the hardest I've taken in my life. And yes, he is conservative, but don't be put off if you're a hardcore Democrat, he has logical and respectable views on both sides of the aisle.
