This man is useless. This self proclaimed genius and god of aviation will continue to argue with you even when presented FAA sources that contradict what he is saying. Exhibits most of the hazardous attitudes. All I can say is don't get on this guy's bad side because once he is out to bust you, he will succeed no matter your performance.

Had him for Single Commercial Add-on check oral. The oral went very well; easy, relaxed, and efficient. We joked around, had a good laugh before the oral begun. it only lasted 0.8 hrs so I guess it wasn't enough time for him to "interrogate" me.

Despite his cocky front(in the classroom, i dont see it in the cockpit) hes really cool and fun to fly with. Great check pilot. Know your stuff, know your procedures, go with confidence and you've got it in the bag. Though hes one of top standards guys, he doesnt care about riddle procedures, strictly PTS.

I had Joe for the flight portion of my Commercial Multi EOC. He is NOT what some people say he is. Yeah, I heard the rumors and read the stuff on this page, and it’s NOT TRUE. I thought he was a good checkride pilot, and I thought he was very fair and easygoing. Definitely knows his stuff. If you know your stuff you will pass.

What a jerk. This guy is so full of himself and one of the most negative people I've ever known. Really gets off on putting down other people, especially other instructors, students and ERAU. I don't understand why he is teaching at riddle. He seems so miserable and made me feel miserable.
