Price is a good guy, he's just too smart for his own good. His research is really interesting, he's just not the best teacher. You never really know what you are supposed to be doing in class.

His lectures were captivating and made attending class easy. He moved due dates around as needed and was super flexible about almost everything. He can be a bit all over the place, but the guy knows his stuff. He was super receptive to questions and always encouraged robust discussion in class.

I see all these horrible reviews for Prof. Price and it seems like I had an entirely different Professor. He was a good, fair, and understanding person. Most of the bad reviews are quite a few years old so IMO he must have improved his teaching methods. I really enjoyed the class and that says something for a boring required course.

Professor Price is a smart, caring professor. This is a highly important set of qualities for a professor to have, regardless of the subject. If you have interests in research of any kind, or learning from him on any type of topic, I highly suggest him. Great guy!

creates good atmosphere for participation. Enjoyable class, but many of the ideas are above your head. Although he does not expect you to know everything. He understands students' individual differences, which many professor unfortunately don't.

I got an A-. There was one midterm which was 4-5 pages, one final which was 8-10 pages. Overall the topics for these papers were very broad and you might not completely understand the assignment. But as long as you put your best effort he is a not a hard grader. Not the most interesting class but it does not drag bc he lets u out 10-15 min early

He really cares about students learning. It's usually unclear what's expected but he's fairly lenient and helpful. Overall the class was pretty easy and I would definitely take another class with him.

Professor Price is absolutely one of the most intelligent professors at bing. Although sometimes his points go way over people's heads, he overall is an enjoyable person and tries to make the class go quickly. As long as you attend class and do the required work you'll most likely get an A.

While Prof. Price is well educated, he should refrain from teaching. His inability to communicate causes you to loose interest in the subject. Soc 305 Research method w/ him was boring and repetitive. Soc 280 Prison Industrial Complex was ok because of my previous interest & readings. He was of little help in making either class interesting.

You are expected to read the material and contribute to the discussions. However many people can easily contribute w/o reading. Professor Price is very lenient, too lenient at times, If you have a question he is always willing to help. He isn't the greatest orator, which he has admitted, but that doesn't mean he isn't able to get his point across.

Class material was interesting and informative. If you bothered to show, read, write, & participate, you did well. Not a hard grader. People just there to take up space did not do so well. C'mon people. it really wasn't that hard. If you think he is, good luck with that. You don't have any idea of what a hard professor is really like.

Joshua is extremely unhelpful and the class takes 3 hours because it takes him a long time to get to the point. He once yelled at my friend in front of a group of people because he was displeased at the progress her group was making. But the rest of the group wasn't present that day, and he unkindly and unfairly chose to take it out on her!

Price is way too smart to be teaching an intro level class... he is not very organized and you find it hard to get an actual answer out of him. and 3 hours is a very long time with a very boring speaking voice. he's an easy grader, but there are two big papers, a presentation and some assignmnet due every week

I heard bad things about him at first but he is actually a pretty cool guy. The class may be a little boring but it is mandatory. He tries hard and as long as you do the assignments and talk in class it's almost a guaranteed A. He loves his apples :-p

i agree with some of the other comments, i heard such bad things about him, but it turned out that the class wasn't nearly as bad as what others had said. If you don't understand an assignment meet with him or ask him outside of class...i found this to be more helpful.

Josh is hot and I love him. What an intelligent man. I would love to share a few beers with him and just talk. Take the time to get to know him, do your work and you will do well. What all of you don't get is this man is so intelligent that he doesn't want to take the time to listen to ****. What a great sense of humor he has .
