Comment:

She is a considerate woman with experience, but she tends to ramble for the entire class period. When you ask questions she becomes frustrated and offended. Although the grading scale is curved overall, with the tests she isn't clear on what material is on. If you want to pass, use the textbook she wrote/makes you buy, this is a lifesaver.

She is a nice woman but not a great teacher. Mainly shows YouTube videos all class and only lectures occasionally. Lectures arent great and often just tells personal stories. The assigned books are boring but you should at least skim them.

Although she is an amazing person, I did not like her as a professor. I did not like her teaching style. The entire semester was spent hearing her lectures. Your grade will depend on two exams, a paper, and final. That's it! The exams are very detailed which caused many students to fail the exams. I personally would not recommend this class.

She was not good about emails but willing to help in office hours if she was there. Her lectures were long and went of on tangents that were useless. She was a bit rude at times but she seems to care. Her test are simply the definitions she gives. She looks for specific phrases in those definitions and if not phrases as such its wrong.

She's a cool lady.I just personally think she's more interested traveling then being in the classroom. Very unorganized. Gave you back hardly any graded wrk for feedback. No study guide and so much info! W her bouncing off the walls, its hard to know what to memorize and way to much to memorize. I would so not suggest this class to anybody.

Easy. First exam, she was very generous and gave us another opportunity to make up for the first one. Third exam was cancelled and had an extremely easy project. Final-we only needed to learn the definitions and create a genealogical tree. Super easy. You don't need to read the books-go over them in class. Definitions are essential! Recommend it!:)

I currently have Martin&I am not doing very well in her class. She just talks&breaks off into tangents. She doesn't seem to care about our grade, it's like she wants us to fail. I know that's having a high expectation, but it is ridiculous. No study guide, we should be able to figure it out on our own..

Generous grading scale, but you must work hard to get an A. Read the books she assigns for there will be essay questions on it on the exam. Memorize the definitions of the key terms; she's a stickler when it comes to definitions. Also, pay attention and take notes to the videos she shows because there will be questions about it on the exam as well.

there is not major textbook. she provides powerpoints but you need to attend lecture!! she is willing to help if you as for it but you will have to read alot and study! not as easy A but she is nice and willing to help! Some students just want the easy way out..its a university people!

Kim Martin has the ability to be a good teacher if only she would teach and stop going off on her tangents about her political and religious views which has nothing to do with class. She is very unprofessional in that matter and does not seem to have an interest in her students. Teaching in this way makes her class confusing, irritating, and boring

This course is based only off of exams that are hard! The mean average for our second exam was a 62%. She told us, "She expected this average, it's normal." THIS MEANS THAT SHE'S NOT TEACHING THE INFORMATION CORRECTLY?? I've NEVER received lower than a B in college (I'm graduating this semester) I BARELY passed this class. Take something else.

Do your readings and you will pass the essay. If you skip class,ALL her lectures are online, just download them and study. This is really a low maintenance class if you act like a student. Just try a little and you can't fail,even if you don't always show up. Kim is really kind and tells wonderful stories in class.

I've always been an A student and am having difficulty passing this course. She makes you memorize useless information for her exams and never emailed me back but provides useful information if you can get a minute with her. I'm so surprised by some previous comments, we have lost many students and most I have spoke with are not doing well.

Tests are difficult, she grades hard and she expects specificity. As long as you read, pay attention in class, and study notes, you'll do fine. She's a sweet woman, and she's always willing to help, and when you ask questions frequently, you get more information.

Research Methods was so easy with Dr.Martin. She is so super nice and is always there when you need help. I got A's on all of her exams and on my Lit Review. She wrote the small book that is required so its super easy to understand. She is so grate, you just need to study. If you dont then dont complain when you get an F!

Dr. Martin has pared down the content of this class so that all you need to know is in the reader--which is cheap, brief, and perfectly reflects the PPTs). If you read, show up and pay attention, this class will be a breeze. She spoon feeds you the material and expects you to know it for the tests.

Dr.Martin is very nice ive been to her office many times already this semester and she always helps me out. I got a B in her first exam so it wasnt so bad, for everyone that got F's they clearly didnt study so stop bashing Dr.Martin study and you will get results.

this professor is horrible. she doesnt give a crap about you if you dont get a good grade. her classes are so long and she does not give ANY study guides, all you have is the looooong ass lecture powerpoints to study which is ridiculous.
