Comment:

Linda is a caring and knowledgeable teacher. She gave me decent feedback often; however, she has a hard time controlling students who speak over her as she is soft-spoken. BDS 101 is a very difficult class due to the large workload and the quality expected, but Linda seems to be a kinder grader than other professors who teach the same class.

Comment:

Linda's a decent professor and has a lot of experience with type and stuff, but is really minimalist with feedback. It's hard to figure out what direction your project is supposed to take when you're not sure what you're working with. She's usually kind with the grades though.

I enjoyed this class a lot, unlike many. If you attended class and tried to do each project, it went well. I wish she gave more feedback, I wasn't always sure what she thought of my projects.

I have had Linda multiple times she is great, if you get your work done and aren't lazy you will do well. She can sense excuses from a mile away so just do what you are supposed to and you will be fine. If you are lazy design isn't for you anyway.

Helpful when you ask. Unclear and not so up to date on what to do in class. Chooses favorites, so get on her good side. You'll learn a lot from her, but if you can, try another teacher.

I thought she was fun, interesting class. occasionally takes off points for the hell of it. very strict on your craftsmanship...but overall...very laid back class, with plenty of freedom. just get your projects done

I'm not going to lie, she is terrifying at first. But as the class has progressed, she has become much more understanding and much more helpful. Definetly not as weiner-y as the rest of the Deisng teachers...Minus Professor Swindell...

I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN A TEACHER PLAY FAVORITES LIKE LINDA BEFORE. She may be quite wonderful to you if you were someone she liked, if not... OFF WITH YOUR HEAD. Class is tough, but that's not her, all the design classes have the same projects.

Terrible!! We had a project due on a monday afternoon. Linda failed to tell us that we didn't have class, by not e-mailing us or contacting us in any other form. Whole class was up all nite working on assignment for a total waste. Very unclear instructions and not helpful. Steer clear.

Linda is a nice teacher. she will really go out of her way to help people individually and the class as whole. people in my class complained that she wasn't good at explaining projects but i didn't see that as a problem.

Super sweet, super helpful. I don't care what you may have heard, Linda is an AWESOME art teacher. She is so understanding too! Definitely take a class from her.
