Comment:

Liu never learned a single students name, but who cares. Homework is completely optional. It is only assigned so that you can practice what is taught in class. We learn a subject for 3 days, and the take a quiz on it on Thursday. Only three exams are given and your lowest exam score is dropped. Lenient grader and gives lots of partial credit too!

Comment:

Accent scary at first but very legible. Learn something new one day, quiz on it the next. 3 Tests with the lowest score dropped and a final. Works at students pace, never did anything unless whole class was on track. Never turned in or graded homework. Grades quizzes well, even if you just tried a problem you'd get credit. Highly recommend.

At the beginning I thought the class would be really hard only because I couldnt understand his thick accent, and I wanted to pick another class. But I stuck it out you'll have 9 quizzes and 3 Test. He drops the lowest test off at the end. Quizzes are just like what he goes over in class, and test are just like the quizzes. There is a final, EASY!

He is an overall good teacher. Yes, he does have an accent, but he also asks after every statement, "agree?". Allowing you the opportunity to speak up and tell him to slow down, or go over something again. Quizzes every week, 3 tests and final. Basically, if you show up and participate, you'll pass. Also a lenient grader. Gives points for attempt.

(I took this course in the Summer). Yeah his accent is a bit thick, but you get over it within the first week. Homework is not turned in, but recommended to do to study for quizzes and exams. Quizzes are once a week. There is a midterm and final, which studying the quizzes will help. Cheat sheet on final and last quizzes. Grades veryy leniently.

You can not understand what's going on because he do the problems to himself. As he writes on the board he erases the example he just put up which means by the time u write in your notebook and look up to write what's next he erased that and wrote other steps. so your notes is useless! He does alot of problems in his head so he misses steps #Dnttke

The material is pretty rough...and he didn't make it any better. He's not a bad teacher...but he's not a good teacher. He moves really fast. His accent isn't that bad he just goes really fast when teaching.

This class was difficult in my opinion because the entire grade was based off of only tests, quizzes and the final. Luckily, he did have 2 extra credit items but it was still a tough class since I am not good at math. He is a nice person though.

He's a tiny little asian dude and his english is a bit hard to understand but he writes most of what he says on the board so it's ok. I found the curriculum easy to learn. He teaches at a real slow pace so if you miss a day he'll most likely cover it all in the next class. It was an "easy A."

He is a smart man but... His English is extremely poor and his methods of teaching are much harder then they need to be. If you are having problems then i advise you get a tutorer because personally if i didnt know as much as i know about what he teaches then i would have a major problem because he teaches in a hard way that can be simplified.

Absolutely horrendous teacher. Couldn't understand him, and half the time he never really explained anything he just expected you to already know the material. Also, he constantly said "yes, understand, correct?" so you feel like you have to nod your head constantly. Thick accent, and overall wouldn't recommend him. Switch if possible.

I really don't have anything bad to say about this prof. He grades fairly and is clear in his lectures. Very willing to help. There is a weekly quiz and 3 tests, but 1 test is dropped. Quizzes are helpful, but make sure to do that harder questions on the hw b/c tests are harder than quizzes.

You are going to work hard in this class. It is the nature of the material. Instructor is a nice guy, his English really good for non-native born. He is helpful - but you have to ask for the help - otherwise he will move very fast. If you go to his office he is helpful. He is a really bright guy and that causes him to assume you follow.

Great teacher! He is a bit hard to understand to begin with but after the first class I had no trouble. Very nice and will slow down or repeat things if asked to. He grades very easily and if you keep up on the notes and understand what he's talking about (which isn't hard) it's an easy A. Grades only on tests and quizes, no graded homework.

You cannot understand one word this man is saying. He is a horrible teacher and makes you feel stupid if you ask any questions, as if it isn't his job to answer them. He does not care about his students. Please DO NOT take him!!
