Shes very understanding and super chill. As long as she knows youre trying your best, its hard to fail. She provides the textbook which is more like a booklet that she grades as you complete projects.

Comment:

Lynn is one of the best professors I have ever had! She's very helpful and respectful. However, don't expect to pass the class if you took it just to "fill a credit." This will take quite a bit of dedication and time outside of class, but it is SO worth it! I will definitely be taking 122 when I have a chance.

Comment:

Lynn is an excellent teacher! No matter if you would want to pursue a career in art or not, she accepts everyone. She has a great personality. As long as you respect her and her rules, then you'll be great. Best to have some extra out of class time to finish projects. I'm going to retake her ceramics II just because the class is so enjoyable!

She is an excellent prof for the subject. She'll help you with anything and explain thoroughly. The course goes into detail about clays and building techniques. Even if you aren't skilled as long as you try and show effort in your projects you'll be good. It's a very relaxing environment, a much needed break for a full time student.

Awesome class, Awesome Mentor/Teacher. Respect her and she will respect you. A few hours of time outside of class are very beneficial. The class taught me much more than ceramics, and I've built really good friendships with the other students and Lynn. TAKE IT!

Lynn is amazing! She loves ceramics and the arts and it shows. Be prepared to come to class, put your best effort into your work, and have a good attitude and class participation. These classes are not hard, but they are time consuming like any other art class. She is good humored and fun. I would definitely recommend this professor!

Lynn is a great teacher ^-^ She may come off as a little tough at times, but she does everything for a purpose. Basically, show up to class on time, be respectful and be prepared to spend a lot of time in her class. It's not for the faint hearted but I found it to be very rewarding :)I can't wait for Ceramics II!

NOT FOR SLACKERS! Professor Fischer is a very well respected artist -- I was surprised to find an instructor of her stature at a community college. Ceramics I eats up more time than any of my other classes. She has a wealth of knowledge to offer, but you have to ask questions, show up and do the work. Very rewarding if you make the effort!

She wants you on time! Arrive early! She's strict in that she wants you working, and she wants things to get done. She DOES play favorites, and I had problems asking questions sometimes. She is understanding of certain issues, but don't arrive late, it's her pet peeve.She will help, but you just got to get her away from the favorites.

Lynn Fisher expects her students to come to class, on time, do the assgnmnts, & treat this as a college level course (not playtime) She makes the assgnmnts fun & encourages personal expression in the work. Many 121 students take 122 & repeat to be in the class/ceramics @RVC. Some then on to Art Majors at 4yr UNIV. This says alot about her teaching!

I was very dissapointed. Professor acted like we, the students had never had an art class in our lives. Spent over 1 1/2hr just going over the syllabus, then informed us it was mandatory to be in class a minimun of 3hrs a week outside of class time to pass. That was not in the course decription. Holier than thou attitude. I love art but not her.

you make your own happiness and you have to make your own artwork. this teacher is really cool if you just go with the flow and follow her guidelines, you still can do what you want but i had one and two and both semesters she was awsome and we fired outside it was cool!
