Mrs. Margeret Wade-Lewis is an excellent teacher. Her message is clear: to show the sides of the African-American culture that most individuals are ignorant about. Her class was fun and enjoyable, ranging from oral presentations and short essays. It is an experience to be in her class, definitely recommend it if you want a high grade.

Its unclear what she wants because she is disorganized and laid back (always 15 min+ late). She seems to be an easy grader from how she runs class, but is one of the hardest graders I've ever encountered. Seems to be looking for something specific that she never successfully communicates to the class. Also made us buy her book and then we never use

She is very interesting and tells you many stories. I did learn a lot, but she will lecture/talk for THE WHOLE 3 hours--it was hard to pay attention/listen for that long. There wasn't enough discussion.She would talk about a book page by page, not the whole:boring.She has a good sense of humor, is very smart AND showed up 15 min late to each class.

Such a knowledgable teacher.Great with explaining things,not strict, will answer any question. Didn't read the texts and did just fine.One paper, midterm and final are the only real work. Learned about rap and the spoken word! such a fun class, loved the teacher. Deffinately take her for any class shes teaching

Dr. Wade-Lewis is extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. If you are looking for an easy A, her classes are not for you. If you are actually willing to do work, her classes are rewarding & her lectures are fascinating. She is a powerful and opinionated humanist.I took three classes with her, and I have the utmost respect for her as a teacher!

Wade-Lewis definitely knows what she's talking about, but she gets so absorbed in her thinking that she goes right off on her own little tangents. So, I was left wondering what class I was taking. Even though we didn't follow the syllabus, and she ranted, we were still expected to know exactly what would be on the test. Hard grader, too! Watch out.

she singled me out one day in class for being a **** when she didnt let me finish my sentence. she was wrong and didnt even apologize. shes a very easy teacher but you cant let some oppinions she has affect you.

I took her for Intro to Blakc Studies, The Black Woman and Blakc English. She has to be the best professor I have ever had. She really cares about her students. Take a class with her before you graduate.
