Comment:

An intelligent individual with unreal finance experience as a former trader at the CME. However, not the greatest or most engaging profs, and her lectures are really not worth coming to unless its the final one before an exam where she may drop a hint or outline of what will be them. Exams and marking are very fair, textbook is best way to study.

So from my experience don't bother coming to class unless u have read the chapter before hand or just want to sleep for a good three hours. Don't get me wrong, Melanie knows what she is talking about, but her teaching style sucks. She gets agitated if you ask questions in class and expects you to know everything.

Melanie is a very smart professor & a wonderful person, unfortunately that does not make up for her lack of clear simplification & teaching know-how. She is beyond well versed in the subject matter but rushes through material & wrongly makes assumptions in regards to the students' level of knowledge & understanding. Needs to change lecturing style.

OH THE HORROR!!!! She is a very friendly person. Really nice lady but what a HORRIBLE TEACHING STYLE. It's not her fault, but she speaks EXTREMELY FAST, she makes things 10000x more complicated and she makes up questions that are not even explained in the text book! I mean COME-ON!!! Oh yea, on exams, you have to GUESS what she's asking you!!!

BS. THis prof might be smart, and she probably IS. But she is booring, I fall asleep on all of her classes. Also, she makes things more complicated than they in fact are. Smart, but doesn't know how to teach.
