You can't not get an A or lower than a B+ in his class. Sure, he does just lecture the whole time but he grades you simply on three essays and gives you over a month to do each one. Easy A, very understanding guy too.

As a History major, I was fascinated by his expertise in the subject. Although his class does get a little boring because all he does is lecture the whole semester. You can easily get a B+ or an A and don't have to be good at History. No homework, just three papers and he gives you a really long time to do it.

Super passionate about history, excellent choice if you are too. However, I am not too crazy about it. His lectures are long and sometimes painfully boring , but pay attention and you'll be just fine. All tests were take home and genuinely enjoy him as a professor and person. He is willing to help you in any way!

If you enjoy long, passionately spoken accounts of American History and little to no classwork, Prof. Galgano is your man. His attendance policy isn't very strict, and he usually bases your entire grade off of 3-5 home-written papers (4 in my case) which usually require 3-6 pages each. Prof. Galgano is also both kind and understanding as a bonus!

Easy A. He is a nice man, all he does is talk most of the class passionately about history, so if you don't like history it's a little boring. No notes needed. 3 "test" aka 3 take home essays. Just show up to class and look enthusiastic .

Such an easy class. Only 3 papers that he grades pretty easily. Not entirely painful to sit through and he lets you have your computer out. Sweet guy who is passionate about what he teaches. I would take the class again in a heart beat

galgano was nice, a pushover really. but he was boring. he read of the textbook "his way of lecturing class" and he liked showing movies "documentaries" for the last 20mins of class. you had to write two essays for each test (3 test grades total) that is given as take home but its was alot of work. if your lazy dont bother!

He is very knowledgeable, and smart. I like history so it disn't bother me. He does lecture and does get boring to most but it's a super easy class. Take home tests are a short paper and he gives you a selection. He works with you. Unfortunately alot of students took advantage of him by leaving early or harsly showwing up. Very disrespectful.

Galgano is a very liberal grader, this class is an easy A! There are no exams. There are three essays in which you have a choice between 12 different topics for each one. The class itself is pretty boring, but I do not fault him for this. He is very passionate and knows his stuff. Textbook is followed for the most part.

He is one of the sweetest nicest people you will ever meet! He truly loves History & that passion shows & gets you just as interested! He lectures & plays videos which makes the class fun too. He is a generous grader and only had us do 3 essays for the summer session. Suffolk needs more professors like this. If you need any HIS class, take him! :)

Such a great professor! So nice and helpful and really knows his stuff. I loved his lectures and his anecdotes really made the subject come to life. I took his summer session class and was disappointed to see he wasn't teaching the next history class I need this fall.

Attendance is not mandatory, bu don't take advantage of it. All his tests are two three page take home essays and he gives you like 10 essay questions to chose from. You ge like 2 weeks to do them. He is a easy grader, but his lectures tend to get boring. EASY CLASS!

this class gives way too much work! he expects you to write 2 separate papers within two weeks and hand it in on time, its worth a test grade btw. in total 7 papers! each are 3-6 pages long. And don't get me started on how boring his class is! Most boring history teach i ever had. Don't buy the useless textbook. can't wait for this class to end!!!

Do not buy the textbook, you will never use it. I took two of his classes and each were the same format. Three take home exams which consisted of two essays for each. One research paper. He does not care about attendance. I would suggest this class if are not a history major and have to take this as a mandated course.

This poor guy always looked like he was about to have a stroak, obviously never got confortable rele talking to people. He is nice, and the assignments are a joke. I barely went to class and when i did, i rarely stayed the whole time. He never said a word, never penalized me, and i still got an A. If you don't mind brain numbing boredom, take him.

This class was torture. So long and hes so boring. But the good thing is instead of giving test he gives take home essays and you have 3 weeks to do them. Doesnt care if there late. Little bit of a hard grader though. Shows videos at the end of every class to go with the lecture. So if you dont mind the boringness and need to pass take him i guess
