I had Mike for several classes. He demands the best from his students. He is crude but highly intelligent. He is ver qualified and his students should feel lucky.Not at an easy class!Sign up if you have a legit interest in art and are willing to work hard and do independent research. Must be willing to take criticism. It helps to be interesting.

Had Mike for a couple of photo classes.Both were good experiences.He's the most honest prof in the art dept when it comes to critiques, which is very helpful if you listen.I was not a photo major, yet would take my paintings to Mike for critique because I grew to value & trust his advice & opinions. Most accomplished artist/art prof @ ETSU.

Love this man! He is hilarious and if you joke around with him, he will love you! He's an excellent teacher who knows his stuff and passes his knowledge on to his class. (Props to Mike: His art is featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art!) I will take as many classes as he teaches! Photography is an expensive hobby, know what you're getting into.
