Dr. Balakrishnan is a very good professor. I think he will be a better administrator (dean). He is firm yet fair. Do the work, pay attention in class, and you will get an A or B. He will make a wonderful dean one day.

He is the best teacher for this class. He wrote the book & knows what's in it. When I came in the class I thought it was going to be horrible, but it is my best/favorite class. Stay on top of material & he will help you as much as possible. He explains things very clearly & helps your grade w/ attendance quizzes, so go to class-its an easy quiz A!

His English is good- more understandable than half the students in the class. (he does mix the S sound and the Z sound)If you are someone who is easily distracted, his rapid way of speaking (he is enthusiastic) might be good for you. Doesn't take attendance.He makes it clear that you should already know Excel and algebra before taking his class.

Worst professor I have ever had. Does not teach! Thinks his way is the only way! Very unclear. Needs to learn to speak clear English. Refuses to help, refuses to see his weaknesses. Has a few favorite students, who are the only ones he helps!
