NanHan is by far one of my favorite professors at GAC! Taking her class sparked my interest in the subject matter and helped me decide what to major in. She is always there to help and if you take the time to talk to her, you can instantly tell she cares deeply about each and every one of her students. Yes, effort is required, but it pays off.

Nanhan is great. She cares about students doing well and is very flexible. She is always available to help edit papers, give suggestions, etc. sometimes a bit unorganized but the class expectations are always clear. Everyone on here complaining about her, in my opinion, is too lazy to do well in a college-level spanish course.

Prof. Hanway is extremely knowledgeable and a good teacher. I really enjoyed the class I took with her-- she was very willing to take time outside of class to work with students that were struggling and was just really great in general. I highly recommend her.

Can be moody, intimidating, makes you want to avoid talking to her. Surface nice, but doesn't care if her questions are fair, or about seeing things from the students perspective and not her own, or if students fail, or if she is too demanding. I don't like having to struggle so hard for a class I have to take as a lower level elective. Not fun.

She's nice, but it's apparent this class isn't her specialty. A little scatterbrained, but dedicated.

I'm sure Hanway is a good prof for her spanish classes, but she does not do well as a literature prof for CII.

Worst. Prof. EVER! I'm currently in her CII Literary Experience class, and I hate every second of it. I love the course material, but hate her as a prof. She treats us like three-year-olds (numbering us off to divide into discussion groups), and continually insults our intelligence. Also, be careful; she's a horrible gossip.

Really nice, really helpful - especially with writing. But you have to keep up with the assignmens and the work or you can really get lost. My only complaint is that the workload is too high. But I learned a ton.

She is a nice person, but she is also the most unorganized, unclear, scatter brained professor ever. She has been my Spanish and English literature professor and in both classes, she gets lost in what she says frequently.

Great prof. First prof at GAC that really made me work. Funny, nice. Make sure you memorize the list of dates at the beginning of the chapter. If she's too hard it's because you're used to getting easy As. Unlike with other GAC profs who give everybody As and Bs, I'm getting better grades than the slackers.
