Great professor. There does feel like a lot of homework. It's not hard, but you do have to do it. He grades attendance too. Show up, pay attention, do the homework, and you should get an A no problem.

I loved Professor Bishop. He really cares about what he is teaching, and it is infectious. He makes you write notes on every chapter, and talk about it in groups. If you take the discussions seriously you can actually learn a lot. He is quirky and even though his class was 2+ hours, I always looked forward to going. Textbook is needed!

Not too hard, if you complete all the assignments on time its not difficult to get an A. Rarely studied for tests. He is disorganized, make sure you are aware of the due dates and you can get an A. Lots of busy work!

I actually took Professor Bishop over at Valencia. I truly enjoyed his teaching style. He's more of an independent studies teacher. I mean, he's not always on you to do your work. You either do it or not. Your an adult. He builds on strong interpersonal skills that some may not have. His personality is amazing. He is the reason why I want to become

Professor Bishop is a very unique man. I think highly of him as a person, and I think he intends well, but his disorganization killed me. He assigns a lot of work which is managable, but he inability to stick to his syllabus and assignment guidelines makes this a difficult class to take and succeed.Though, he's quite entertaining at times...

Bishop teaches to the lowest echelons of the class. Constantly reminds class of proper listening skills. This class felt like a high school course with the professor overtly guiding the class to base views of art, philosophy, culture, etc.

Great teacher! You will actually learn something! There is a lot of work to be done. Some people called it busy work, but this "busy work" will ensure you a high grade and make sure you actually read and learn all the material. It's impossible to do all the work and NOT learn a majority of what's intended. My best and favorite class that year.

Philip is hands down the most inspiring professor at UCF. He not only cares about teaching humanities, but teaching students how to think freely and to enrich themselves with culture. If you have a chance to take his course, consider yourself lucky, because he will change your outlook on life and help you to define yourself as a person.

He gives way too much busy work. An unnessasary amount of busy work. Its good because if you do the work, reguardless of how well you do it, youll manage a good grade. It's really annoying though. However, the discussions were interesting because he gets everyone involved and makes you think.

He's a good teacher. GO TO CLASS! Attendance counts and it helps in the long run if you needed a few extra points. DO THE WORK! It's really not hard at all... just time consuming. I bombed like every test in his class b/c I didn't study, but I did all the work and I managed a B in his class. Easy course, just show up and do your homework.

Its quite easy to get an A because he gives lots of extra credit and you earn points just for being in class. The workload is a little hefty for a Gen Ed class, but all in all its usefull work or its just grade padding. Passionate about teaching and really wants to educate his students.
