It's a shame Madson's retiring. He's cool, knowledgeable, laid back, funny; he's everything you would want in a college professor. I honestly don't know if I would have enjoyed the class as much as I did if he wasn't the one teaching it. I consider myself very fortunate to have been one of his students.

This guy is awesome. His class is so easy and chill. You can miss as many days as you want and even come in late, he doesn't care as long as you show up for the tests. There were like 3 or 4 tests and some simple in class assignments. The tests were easy and the notes were hardly needed. He makes jokes too, this class was great.

Professor Madson is to say the least an honorable teacher. He's very genuine and old-school. Has a bag filled with some of the best humor i've heard in a classroom. If you're interested in getting an A and having fun while doing it, then I urge any student to learn under Richard Madson. Great professor!

Great guy. Extremely funny. Very easy class. The only thing that bothered me was that there were some questions on his tests that weren't taught in class. But this is a Health class... Most of the time you can guess and get it right. He offers lots of extra credit. I got an A and seriously enjoyed going to class.

Summer term:Funny guy, keeps you entertained. He jumps around, goes really fast n he knows it so ask him to repeat it-he doesn't mind. helps u after class w/ur notes if u need it. pay attention, take notes, study for test cause they're kinda hard. Use book as another resource to study for test, it can make a difference. Do all extra credit offered.

Very nice guy, tests are super easy, most all of it is common sense. Gives you extra credit opportunities for each test. Don't need the book cause he reviews the test material over and over. Only way you could fail the class is if you don't show up or maybe if you sleep through it.

Professor Madson is very cool, funny, and laid back. Pretty easy class just write down what he has set up on the board and write what he says here and there. Remember to write the definations they will appear on tests. Tests are easy just we talked about in class and he offers easy extra credit opportunites. Take him it's well worth it.
