Like the guy before me said it was a pretty good course but Dr. Chappell is a lot more helpful I think because you can e-mail him at any time and he'll get back to you very quickly.

The consensus in my class was that this was one of the easiest classes they've taken. The class, to me, was interesting, and the syllabus was basically a 7-8 page book report, 6-7 page NY times style science story, and a 5-minute video. That said it was all enjoyable and I really liked it.

He thinks his class is the most important class you will ever take, when it is boring, easy subject material, and just plain useless. Having said that he grades rediculously hard for no apparent reason.

Sadly, I'm going to have to say Rick is the worst prof I've had at Vandy. The actual class is plain boring and is def not a seminar. He basically just talks about whatever he feels like the whole time. The best days were when visitors came. Papers are easy, but get the sources/content right.

awful awful awful!! his class is boring and has no direction. It was a seminar, and I opened my mouth maybe once. He jsut sits up there and rambles about nothing for an hour and 15 min. I have learned nothing.
