Overall, this is a good class. Participation in class is important. 20% of your grade is you just simply answering in class questions of the Top Hat app. There are 7 homework assignments and they arent difficult. And theres only two exams. Her lecture style is very energetic and Kaplan often gets off topic and talks about her personal life.

The class consists of a LOT of busy work. Be prepared to spend time doing homework. Kaplan hardly gives feedback and forget knowing your grades in the course until the semester is over. The assignments are not hard and the expectations are clear. Overall, this is not a bad class.

This class consists of A LOT of busy work, but it's doable. I took it online which I would suggest. It is Writing Intensive, but you don't have to write any papers. It's all discussion boards, 6 assignments - only a paragraph for each. APLIA is time consuming, but I would rather work on it than write papers. Take Kaplan!

She gave good feedback to help me improve my writing. Feedback for the summer class was given by end of next week so not really fast but I got feedback. Found out she HATES contractions! LOL

I have taken Professor Kaplan twice, and both times she has been horrible. She does not grade assignments in a timely manner and gives very vague feedback that does not help you improve your grade for example she will put "Great Job" then give you 10 points off...No help at all! DO NOT TAKE HER!

Not sure what happened between 2009 and now, but she is the most useless professor I've ever had. Zero feedback, doesn't post grades or respond to questions in the discussion forum, and doesn't respond to emails. Amazed that I pay this much only to teach myself the course.

Well, I'm just going to go ahead and say it... If taking her for an online class, she is very lazy in terms of grading and responding to questions. She based our grade solely off Aplia work, so all the discussions and "homework" assignments we did were all in vein (well, not in vein I guess, we still 'learned' from doing them I suppose).

If considering taking her for an online class, forget it! Unless you enjoy professors who kick back and put the class into autopilot. She very seldom interacts with the class and never grades anything. Avoid her, unless you like living in suspense about you coursework.

Very easy and keeps the class as interesting as it can get. She does have some problems with keeping up with grading some materials, but she makes up for it by being very understanding. If there is ever a problem with papers or tests she is always willing to listen and help make it easier on the students. I have taken her several times & still am

I do not know where ETSU is getting some of these teachers but they went to the bottom of the barrel for this one. NO feed back at all this semester for ANY work!! NO guidelines for a paper that was required, NONE!! How are students supposed to know if they are doing it correctly? Needs to be fired! This is unacceptable for any college to keep!

She is slow in grading, she NEVER responds to emails, she took two days off after spring break and did not show up two other times. We have missed eight days between snow and her no-shows, and she still lets the class out early. Her examples for operations are Cracker Barrel and Krispy Kreme. She proves the old theory of "those who can't, teach"

She does not know the subject. She tells you upfront she does not know the subject. So instead of learning about Operations, you hear a lot of silly stories about her family. She is over her head and her lack of knowledge shows up quickly. Easy A, better the concepts will not be explained.

Useless! She does not follow through with things, gives you busy work, does not post grades in a timely manner. You will have a group project with people who have no ambition and want to ride on your work. The point is supposed to be learning new technology but they are too stupid to understand that and refuse to do it. Good luck with it!

EXTREMELY easy class!!! All you have to do is the homework and read over the powerpoint slides a few times before the test and you will make an A.
