Dr. Clawar is a hidden gem of the Philadelphia area. I read the review before this and was disconcerted. He puts significant time into his lectures and tries to help students all the time. He talks about his occupation along with sociology because the two intertwine. He is insightful, helpful, and easily one of the best profs. at Rosemont!

Long lectures about his life, wife, and daughter. Disgruntled about the college (consistently complains about Roman Catholic priests yet its a Catholic college) in his courses and connects them to the poor social discourse we see in politics and social learning today. Learn more about his patients than you do the subject matter.

if you miss more than the 3 unexcused absences allowed just withdrawal from the course, usually only gives a midterm sometimes a final and sometimes a paper. attendance and participation is key because he doesn't give much work. exams are usually based off readings

Overall, the most instructive and insightful professor.With a busy schedule, he encourages students to meet with him regularly. One of my reasons for being a sociology major.
