Great professor and won't make you participate in discussions if you don't want to. Few papers and simple quizzes. Gives pages of feedback for drafts which shows how much he cares about students and the topics.

Timm was an overall great professor. He made complicated philosophical concepts easy to understand, and he does not give a heavy workload. Do the study guide before every exam; it is very worth it because every question on the exam comes from the study guide. Go to every class, pay attention, do the study guide and easy A.

I'm not sure why so many people had such difficulty with this class. Timm presented the material relatively effectively, and it was all available online for the rest of the semester. He has many TA's who were very invested in helping. If you're going to take this class don't be deterred, use the study guide and its an easy A.

This class can be boring, and I personally never did any of his assigned reading and I did just fine. Do the entire review he gives before each test and youll do fine. Also, he gives lots of credit for little stuff like discussion board and philosophy teams, so that's an awesome grade booster. Timm loves his students and he is very casual.

Timm is very invested in philosophy. So much so that he sometimes forgets that we as the students do not know what he is talkign about. I found myself lost a few times during his class. However, when he opens up the class to discussion it is the best part of class to hear other people's opinions on things!!

Timm is very enthusiastic about the material he teaches, but the class is not interesting whatsoever if you don't like philosophy. I took this class for a humanities credit and could have taken a much easier class. The lectures are boring and he has whole paragraphs on the slides, making it difficult to get all the notes.

He's kinda boring sometimes but the content is interesting. Also once a week you have to meet with a group of 3 other students to fill out a worksheet on class content. Not bad at all if you have a good group!

Not an easy discovery course. He knows the material but it is tough to score well on his tests because everything is so subjective.

Timm is an incredibly sweet and gentle man. He is very patient and always takes student questions and concerns seriously. Being so soft-spoken it was hard for him to keep a handle on our 100+ person lecture hall, but I think he would have been amazing in a smaller class setting.

He is a very understanding man and wants all of his students to do well. Doing the readings is necessary, as well as studying quite a bit for his quizzes and tests. His style of lecturing (powerpoints) can be quite dull, but the class discussions are often very interesting.

Definitely a lot harder class than I thought. He tests you randomly on the readings. Some of the readings are interesting, but others are just so bland and boring they are almost impossible to read. I feel his test are really subjective and he is a hard grader.

Professor Triplett is a really nice guy. Very helpful in office hours and always making sure you understand the content. Class can be boring for he does lecture the whole time, but midterm and final were take home.

Prof.Triplet is a very good professor. Even though his class is extremely boring (he just stands up in the front of the class & lectures the whole time) the content is relatively interesting. There are unannounced reading quizzes so you have to do all of the readings. Exams are not too hard, as long as you have paid attention in class/read the book

Timm is a great teacher, and spends a lot of time explaining the material. This is also the downside of his class, as he can often drone on and on about procedural stuff after everyone gets it. Class discussions are the best part. Overall, a good guy.

Timm was my fav. proff. at UNH. He knows his stuff, challenges your thinking, never puts his own views out there, and is a very fair teacher. he even used to invite the whole class over for pot-luck dinners.. very cool. Be ready to add to class discussion, or not take the class!
