Dr. Lew was the coolest cat on the entire VC campus. For those interested in actually learning, he was the man to talk to. He inspired me to work harder and take on challenges. He will be missed. Especially when he would karate kick the wall to demonstrate his skills during class. RIP Dr. Lew

DR WARREN LEW, MAY YOU REST IN PEACE. warren lew was an awesome person; saw the world philosophically,he was a kind hearted man, not an anal teacher, i only went to class for 1 week out of the whole semester, and i still got an A. its sad he is not around nemore.

He was an amazing teacher. Although it was not mandatory to go, just seeing his involvement in the class was fun. His tests are hard but he gives all the necessary info to get an A. I took him for 3 classes, got all A's.

I am taking his eastern religion class.Very straightforward in terms of the grading.I think the amount of material covered is perfect for the course description: a survey of western religions.I don't know what other people are talking about:he is not rude at all, nor an egomaniac. He does like to have one on one convos in front of class though.

he is a little out there what what phil. teacher isn't hes really interesting he makes you want to go to class you can learn a lot from him but he is confusing but that's the point your supposed to explained your mind and think out side of the box if you want to grow as an individual then take this class he can help open your eyes to the light of p

I had this guy years ago. He was funny as can be, and an egomaniac. He called me a wise-ass in class one time, but he was right. I also raced against him in his 240SX on the way to school one morning. He was fun, but you have to really pay attention in order to learn in his class.

dr. lew is a trip! the class is very easy, as he gives you the test questions ahead of time, and the research paper is only necessary if you want an A. he goes off on random tangents sometimes, but he is a pretty funny guy. not sure if i'd recommend him.

I took him many years ago and totally got a kick outta him, I am actually wondering if he still does the karate moves and talks funny? I got an A from him, and the class was entertaining, but he did like to pick on people, jokingly of course, but deff not for the faint of heart. Overall funny guy, but a little warped. :-)

At the end of the semester I was in shock over the minimal amount of information I had learned from this man. He is hilarious if you show up stoned to class. Easy A. Didn't learn a thing. I occasionally laughed but most of the time I was rather annoyed and amazed. I am not sure if he is "interesting" like everyone says... I would call him random.

Comment:

People that I talked to didn't understand him at ALL, but I listened and took notes and understood him fine. Don't read the text unless you're desperate- his essay prompts come from the lecture. It's pretty easy and requires almost no outside work. Only work is a take home midterm and an in class final. No HW or quizzes.
