Beth is a good person but I don't think she can be very nice to sudents. If you are not on her good side she will most likely not be nice the whole semester. Other than that she has a real passion for disabilities and its clear to see. Overall I enjoyed the class.

Every time a student asked a question she'd say look at the syllabus or canvas. She would cut people off in the middle of their sentences, she wasn't really clear on some assignments and would get irritated at us for being lost. A lot of assignments for hw, but they're all easy. Best way to get an A is to do your work and stay on her good side.

Avoid taking her if possible she not easy to talk too, extremely rude, she doesn't care what going on in your life, unapproachable. DO NOT TAKE HER !!

She is probably the first professor I run into that is so rude . I asked a question I didn't understand she came up to my face and yelled at me and basically called me an idiot. She is always in a pissy mood, she even says It herself. does not understand u whatsoever, if you arrive at 8:01 and not at 8:00 she will subtract 15% from your grade.

BRUH this is an easy A like all you got to do is do the homework which is basically just the title of the chapter and write if you are ignorant as hell. Just send all your assignment 3 days before and shell tells what wrong. bro the reading is joke easy finesse. final and midterm is the study guide.

The course includes a service learning which is a big portion of the grade for the class and the rest of the grade is based on attendance, participation, & hw (there is a lot of work but she gives reasonable time to be done and turned in). READ the chapters she assigns for the book it is included in the hw & midterm. Keep up & you will pass.

Was not clear on what she wants in assignments. She is not approachable either. Get on her good side and you will for sure pass her class. She is very strict. Not much work but when there is, it has to be perfect or else she will just give you a low grade. Avoid taking her.

Professor Lasky is very knowledgeable and passionate about Disability. Her grading is simple, and you're not allowed to miss more than 4 days. She can be very anal and she WILL call you out for being on your phone, coming late, going to the bathroom, etc. Her lectures are so boring and dry. Get on her good side, or don't take the class at all.

You'll be yelled at and called names unless you kiss up. The textbook was out of date, no longer published, and seldom used. The "home visit" exercise is in violation of the LAUSD's code of conduct. The SPED Dept is unwilling to take action AND this is the only professor offering 416. Do yourself a favor: get into another SPED program, ASAP!

Professor Lasky is very clear in regards to the expectations of the course. She has little to no tolerance for dumb/repetitive questions. She always comes into class prepared, so she expects everyone to be prepared, too. She's tough, but you come out more knowledgeable and prepared after this course.

I strongly recommend avoiding Professor Lasky. Her lectures are boring (she reads off of a black and white power point for two hours), and she is often very unclear about what she wants in an assignment. You might hit every point on the rubric, but for some nebulous reason it wasn't exactly what she wanted. You must submit drafts to get an A.

If you could, do NOT take a class with this professor. She is incredibly rude to me. I tried to communicate with her once or twice about a situation regarding my assignment. She did not listen. She is NOT approachable, which is a MAJOR flaw about her. In all of my five years attending college, she has to be the worst professor ive ever had.

She comes to class each week & reads from the powerpoint. The midterm was a nightmare, she gave us a study guide & used nothing from it. She expected us to know everything that was not listed on the study guide. She is rude to all of the students. She does not answer questions about assignments leaving us wondering what is expected of us.Horrible!

Took her SPED 403/416. She makes expectations very clear, allows you to submit drafts of papers ahead of time for feedback. But allows NO room for error. Any minor tardy or absence is perceived as failure/carelessness. She really isn't approachable at all, which is her major drawback. You have to kiss up and do everything EXACTLY as she wants them.
