Interesting and accessible lectures in general. He doesn't cover too many details in the textbook, which is why the pace may seem slow. However, the advantage of this is that you really absorb the material well. Frey is also very helpful in office hours, although his lectures are also very easy to understand.

Difficult class, but a very good teacher. Always willing to help anyone who asks and very understanding. Can tell who's working hard and factors that into final grade. Plays classic rock at beginning of class. Recitations suck and homework grading is brutal.

Really nice guy...very helpful, funny and energetic. More than everything he knows how to teach. sometimes he gets a bit caught up and wanders off...but u can learn a lot from him if u actually pay attention. This is an easy course...and everybody I knew ended up with A's.

Well, I love Pro. Frey. I think he is a very funny, energetic, nice, and respectful professor. ECE 81 is not hard if you try to understand all the hw problems. Also, go to his lectures. Even though some of his lectures are useless, but some are very helpful in understanding the material and doing the hw. I would definatley go to his class!
