Absolutely abysmal. The man cannot teach. His lectures are disorganized, his use of materials is spotty, references to statutes keep changing. One minute he wants to be your best friend, the next he's in a fit of rage. Retirement cannot come soon enough. A waste of money and of time. Refused to provide feedback. Avoid at all costs!

Wonderful seminar and interesting lectures. Paterson was very engaging, knowledgable and interactive. No exam, just a 25 page paper on an area you're interested in, doesn't get much better than that. If you took the lower level CP, you might find it a bit boring but b/c there's more room for dialogue, you get over it quickly. Loved this class!

The most unhelpful prof ever. Told us he wouldn't be doing a review class b/c we can just ask our friends any questions we might have. 2 major things wrong with that: 1. Our friends are not getting paid to teach us, he is. 2. He did a horrible job teaching us and was confused by material himself

Lectures were rather dull, but at least he is clear. Exam was quite reasonable. The only major complain is that he is VERY unwilling to help students before the exams. Only offered 2 office hours before exams and told us flat out that he won't be answering e-mails.
