Sweet, nice, & funny but honestly completely useless on the subject! He just showed documentaries & even had us listen to War of the Worlds. His tests were open book 5 chapters at a time which you think would be easy but werent always. LABS ARE CONFUSING & he expects you to buy a cd for them but dont.

The best Teacher I have taken sense i been in college. He is AMAZING. Come to class and you will pass. He will tell you was on the test word for word. I got a b+ only because i missed to days. he does give extra credit. and he is A NATURALLY FUNNY GUY> : ) LOVE THIS TEACHER!!!!!!!!!

This is an interesting class and Dr. Fields is an interesting teacher. He does get off track and frequently tells stories. Overall, this is an easy class but you MUST ATTEND CLASS! If you go to class and take notes, this is an easy A!

Dr. Fields didn't talk much about Sociology. He showed documentaries about Civil Rights and Women's Lib and talked about things like G.I. Joe and Barbie. The test are not difficult, but overall, I would say that this class was a waste of three hours each week. But on the bright side, he's a naturally funny guy.

Didn't think I would like the class, but was very interesting especially the companion book and the movies. If you do your work and turn it in on time it's a easy A.(if you contract for an A) Be prepared to read a lot and type a lot! It helped me to make an A on my History II term paper also!

Mr. Fields is a very nice guy. However our class during the second session of the fall started off shaky. What ever you do, do not miss class and come to class on time. The class requires a lot of writing so turn in every thing he ask for and more and come out with an "A". Missed work is not acceptable and the end result will cause you to fail.

Pros: Easiest 2nd Session upper division Sociology. You don't even need to read the book, he practically spoon feeds you the answers to his test AND you watch a movie every class. Cons: No hot girls in sight.
