I honestly don't see why most people don't like TR. I loved him! I loved that he gave us countries to do our speeches on because it forced us to do research. His grading was clear and concise. If i had any questions he was always there to answer them. I think he uses a scare tactic a lot such as the 92%. Great teacher!

T.R. is a great Communication Professor. He is more of a lecturer than a notes kinda guy, which is great. He gives useful tips and helpful incite on communication and how it is used in the real world and how it should be delivered. I've applied all he has given and have been getting A's like crazy. Crazy good Professor and much respect. Thanks T.R.

He rarely gives a grade higher than a 93 for any type of work you do and although I should've gotten a B he said that the percentages had been rearranged and that's how i ended up with a D. DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN AVOID HIM

Flat out told us that nobody is perfect, and the highest he will give on a speech is a 92. I told myself that there was no way I was going to get an A. He saw my interest in the class, and I believe that is what caused me to miraculously pull out an A. I don't know how I did it!! Learned useful info, but was harsh to my classmates. Good. Luck.

This man is very smart and knows his stuff. Just not the greatest at teaching it. His grading scale is very different from any I've ever seen. Very harsh on students, not very positive. Make sure that on whatever speech you do that your topic agrees with his opinions, especially politics, otherwise you will suffer. Impossible to get an A.

The class was extremely confusing. Grades were not put in until the last week of the semester. Very harsh critique, never constructive. His grading scale is very weird, impossible to get an A. Whatever your speech topic is, you better make sure he agrees with your side, especially politics. Very smart man though and knows his stuff!

This class is very difficult because of the fact that he starts his grades at a 92. So if you do everything that the assignment asks for you get a 92. On almost all of my speeches I got one thing wrong and I received a B.

The fact our speech had to be over a different country was really hard. Of all the speeches we gave it is nearly impossible to get an A because he is a biased grader. However, he helped with public speaking and stage fright. The worst part of that class is you have to calculate your grade because he won't tell you it.

Contrary to popular belief this teacher is amazing. He challenges the minds of his students, he virtually begs them to think outside the box. Dr. Ruddick listens and cares about his students; I admire and respect this man.
