Had a very good experience taking Molecules that Matter. I didnt end up pursuing chemistry but thoroughly enjoyed her teaching style & encouragement.

Sweet lady. Made science a bit easier. I was in a hybrid class so it was online assignments as well as in person. Always study and you will receive an easy A. She cares about students more than herself.

She is the best chemistry professor of the W. You know what to expect on her test and she is very straight forward. She truly cares about her students although she puts up an angry boss face ��. I took her dor chem 1,2 and quantitative analysis.

Dr. Fortenberry is one of my favorite professors. She is very intimidating at first, but don't let her fool you. She truly cares about her students and would do anything to see them succeed. You do have to put forth effort and work hard but this is typical for any science. She's the best chemistry professor at the W.

Very fair teacher and I appreciated her class because she is organized and straight-forward. No surprises on tests. She will tell you what to expect on exams. Gets to know her students well and cares about them regardless of the front she tries to put up--she loves her students, just won't admit it!

Little times you will find a teacher with less regard to students than this one. She looks down to you, takes ages answering emails, and is as unhelpful as anyone can be. How did she become head of the department is beyond me. She knows her subject, but she is a terrible teacher and role model. Avoid if possible.

Comment:
Her lectures were interesting and she kept the mood light with her dry humor. Although I got behind in the class, she kept me motivated to study and I ended up with a B. She's tough but fair. I highly recommend her!

Comment:
She would teach with such easy examples, but put almost impossible questions on our homework sets and tests. On the tests, you had a lot of discussion questions. You had to put the words she wanted for the answer or you got no credit.
