Very hard. Have had to take her class twice because I withdrew the first time. Her tests are impossible and you dont learn a thing about the tests in class. Great woman though

She is a great professor and has a lot of experience in her field. Many students do not like her because they don't do well in the class. Can come off intimidating but if you put effort in and go to her office hours she is very helpful and caring. The class is straight from the book and very manageable. Go to peer tutoring it is very helpful.

Has a hard personality and will definitely express what she thinks about you/your efforts in/out of class (mostly negative). Requires a lot of extra time outside of class. As a professor she is clearly intelligent and knows what she is doing, but sometimes she will put you down sarcastically if she feels you are not at your 100% best at all times.

She's a bit sarcastic and gives her opinion whether you ask for it or not. She tells you what topics that should focus on to study for the test. A lot of information to cover. Only three tests in the class and all multiple choice. Lets you keep the tests to study for the cummulative final. Have to attend class to do well.

Comment:
Very helpful and wants you to do your very best. A very straight-forward class. Go to every lecture, print out the power points and highlight it rather than take notes. Read each chapter. Study the power points for the test. Mastering Chemistry is definitely helpful on the tests. The labs compliment lecture. If you can, take it in the spring.

She is a tough teacher and can be very intimidating but you can't let it phase you. Once you understand her humor she's actually very funny and class can be enjoyable. She has a lot of knowledge about chemistry and does a good job at relating it to nursinglife in general. For nursing majors: recommend taking her CH84 class 2nd semester rather 1st

She is a tough teacher in every sense of the word. Can be intimidating and unapproachable, but if you make and effort to go to her office hours she can be very helpful. The tests are difficult and require at least a week or two prep before you take them. You need to stay on top of the homework, and not finish it the night before the test.

This course is required for Nursing. Professor Reilly made it applicable for the Health profession,her examples were great. Her tests were hard but they made you think and will prepare us for the boards. She was always ready to help. Highly recommended if you want to succeed in Nursing. I learned a lot!

what a complete witch. she think everyone wants to be a chem major and she expects you to know what she is talking about even though this is just a intro course! dont ask her questions, she will just embarass you. not helpful at all. Labs are not hard but she just makes the time being there miserable . wouldnt reccomend

Not a bad teacher although a little scary in the beginning. It sometimes seems as though she wants you to fail and will put in questions to trick you on tests. Generally pretty good about going over what you need to know for tests. Not an easy class but manegable

Prof. Reilly is a little rough around the edges, but once you get used to her she is a nice lady. The class is pretty interesting and shouldn't be too challenging if you have taken a good chemistry course before. Tests aren't too bad, usually on a lot of material however. Only homework is to read the chapters discussed in class. Overall, manageable

A lot of reading to do- it's helpful to make written outlines. The tests are usually 5+ chapters, and sometimes doesn't contain the taught material. She's nice and is ALWAYS willing to discuss your grades. Better than O'Connell, but still a tough class.

She is pretty grouchy and sarcastic most of the time. She at least is somewhat fair with her grading, but its a really tough class. Shes better than the other professor that teaches Chem 84 for health sciences

She's an interesting prof. She relates the curriculum to nursing as often as possible. Her tests are for the most part fair. She can be confusing and change her mind a lot. I hear she's a lot better than O'Connell

I didn't actually learn anything in her class. She doesn't really make sense most of the time, but the tests are easy and no homework. If you want an easy A to satisfy your science core, then go for this one.
