I have had Dr. C 3 times. She really is a caring person and she is extremely knowledgeable. However, she won't take any crap from anyone, which is why I think a lot of people find her difficult. Be prepared to do a LOT of work - some of her courses should be worth more than 3 hours. But in her upper level courses, you WILL learn.

Dr. Carpenter is a very nice lady. However, I was always guessing as to what was due when. The special rights notebook you have to do is tedious and takes hours to complete. Take home tests are grade boosters. Never cancels class. Final presentation is very easy. No paper final.

One of the most caring & understanding professors I've had yet. I was having a bad day & I ended up crying in her office & she sat there and comforted me & told me that's what she's here for :)Has a true passion for children/people. I had an issue with the 3-K lab teacher who was extremely rude to me & she fixed the problem :)

I think she is an amazing lady! She loves children and people in general. I've had a horrible semester and all she's done is be supportive and help me out with anything I need! Some assignments are a little much and there's A LOT of extra time needed for this class. But go to class and do your work and just ask for help & she'll help.

Mrs. Carpenter is the sweetest! She is very interested & caring for her students! Class discussions= interesting b/c she wants to her from her students! Read from the textbook- factor into 4 tests (final) & brief comments grades! A large portion of your grade= Family Tree Project--just turn in all of the assignments & you should be set!

Children are my world and this class makes me want to change my major. Should be worth WAY more credit hours for all the work assigned. She is of almost no help and apparently thinks that students have nothing else to do except work for her class. pointless time consuming, USELESS work.

I love Dr. C! She is the greatest. Class is sometimes boring but it is sooooo easy. If you need an A, this is the class to get it in. Sweet, sweet lady. LOVE HER!

Her tests are very hard and you better read every chapter to do well. Have to do a lab with the class and it is pointless and u have to watch a child. Also pointless. Dont understand class at all.

incredably pointless course. a high school student could have taught it better. everyone in the class agrees with this assesment. the "topic" is unclear, unfocused and unrelated to the course. i have had dr. c for 3 courses, 1 undergrad, 2 grad level....all pointless.

I had Dr. Carpenter for Family Dev. over the Lifecycle... She's very nice (conservative in topic discussions) and helpful. Doesn't always give great notes, so look over the book some. Gives plenty of opportunity to make up bad test grades.
