West told us that we were her last PSY 2012 class. But I would personally take her again in any other psych course. She gave terms to know before each test. If you read the book and went to class you got an A. Interesting lecturer. Very passionate about her class and it transfers to the students. Awesome teacher!

Dr. West is the easiest psych professor at UF. Just go to class, participate in the studies, do the small assignments and start reading the book about a week before each test. You're guaranteed an A. Reading the book is ABSOLUTELY necessary. She tests on things not discussed in class exclusively from the book on every test.

She was interesting to listen to and I never fell asleep in class. If you go to office hours, she goes over a lot of parts of the test. Make sure you do all of the mypsychlab because it can bring your grade up by a whole letter. Make sure you memorize notes and read the assigned chapters. Overall, she was a good professor.

I would definitely recommend Prof West for Gen Psych! She was very clear and also made class fun! Grades are based mostly on exams but she drops your lowest score and gives you all of the "Terms and Names to Know" for each exam. As long as you know those terms, you should be fine. I scored well on all 5 exams and didn't have to take the final.

I enjoyed Professor West's class. She tells you exactly what you need to know for the tests and if you study that then you should be fine. You have to go to class because she shows videos and you have to text in answers to questions for part of your grade. I also recommend reading the textbook.

I definitely recommend Professor West. Grades are based on only exams but she tells you exactly what terms and concepts to study for so you are prepared. The tests are fair. Get the textbook and just study from the list. I got A's on all my exams so I didn't have to take the final. Go to class because a few questions come from her lectures.

She's quite possibly the greatest professor I've encountered at UF so far. She wants you to succeed in the class and she wants you to learn the information sufficiently. All her tests are based off the terms she wants you to know/what she feels is fitting, and if you ever need help, she's more than willing to help you out.

Great class! The content is interesting and she does a great job of presenting everything you need to know. Her exams are based mainly off of definitions. Just make sure to read the textbook and skim through your notes and you're bound to get an A!

Dr. West is a great professor. The classes are interesting, and she explains concepts using relevant examples. Her grading is fair, and it doesn't require an insane amount of work. I'd recommend her highly for intro psych.

She is the best professor for general psych on campus. If you actually read and define the terms she gives you it is an easy A. Plus, you have six exams and can drop the lowest (the final if you don't need it).

Do NOT take this class if you're looking for an easy A. Only take it if you're willing to read 100+ pages and define 150+ words PER chapter. Course work isn't difficult but West throws way too much information at you at once. Not a hard class, just A LOT of studying if you want a decent grade.

I like Dr. West a lot. I think she's a really great teacher and explains things well. She gives six exams, including the final, but only five of the six count. The tests aren't difficult, but you need to go to class to know some of the answers. She strays from the textbook at times and includes questions on her tests on videos she's shown in class.

The class is not extremely difficult, but the tests are definitely not straight from the notes. YOU MUST READ THE BOOK! I made the mistake of not reading it like I should have, but I still made a B in the class. She's not the most interesting professor and there is TONS of information, but overall it was an OK class.

The class is very hard. There is so much material and reading that it sometimes gets overwhelming. Even after I got a tutor 3 times a week I still couldn't get higher than a C on her tests and I was salutatorian in high school so I'm not stupid. I ended up having to withdraw because I was going to get a C.

I don't know why people say this class is hard! Attendance is hardly mandatory, as long as you get someone to copy the notes for you. When it comes time for the test, just make sure you know all the terms and names to know and you'll do just fine! She tries to scare all her students at first but it just to make you study!

Psychology itself is basically a lot of memorization, and thats exactly what this class is. Her tests arent bad if you read the book and go to class. She ALWAYS puts questions on the videos on tests. She is very helpful. She may be a little tougher than the other psych teachers, but over all it was a decent class.

The tests are extremely hard. Compared to other Psychology 1 teachers, West is ridiculously difficult. Try to take another professor if you can.
